I don't think a lot of people are giving Joe as much respect as they should.

I'm thinking Republicans are thinking Joe is some buffoon who isn't very smart, but I think a lot of people are going to be surprised.

The one thing I keep hearing is that Ryan will use lots of facts and numbers because that is what he is comfortable, but I don't think those are going to be facts and numbers supporting Romney's policies, probably just a lot about unemployment, wages, gas prices, etc.

In short, I don't expect to hear anything substantial from Ryan about Romney's plans. Just more anti-Obama propaganda.

He's definitely smarter than he is portrayed to be. At the same time, he's not equivalent to Obama. It doesn't really matter though, he's still way above Ryan and is coming off as much more informed. Ryan is just too juvenile and "green" and extremely "dull".

Wow!

Who'da thought?

Biden is kicking Ryan's patootie.

As debaters, though, they both beat the Presidential debaters hands-down. Well, the one we've so far had, that is. Maybe they will be inspired by their running bros and make the next debate better.

He's definitely taking the "kid" to school!

Glad there is only one vp debate.

Really? I like both these guys more than the actual candidates.

I'll give Biden this. He has energy, he's aggressive and he's 100% fully present and engaged. No question he's in the moment....unlike what the last debate appeared to be with Obama.

Some of his come backs are fuzzy on facts..but he carries with enough confidence to cover, I believe. I am surprised.. I didn't expect him to be more polished and professional than his Boss, but he sure is.

How can they continue to lie about the "cuts" to medicare?

They got blasted for that in the last debate, fact check after fact check called them on that.

Is he wrong?

Did he say anything untrue or is Ryan getting spanked considered a "complex"?

Those medicare cuts reduce reinburstments to healthcare providers which effects the end user.

Another Biden lie.

I keep waiting for Ryan to say "and you can change this with less than the price of a cup of coffee. For only $29.99 a month, you can make a difference in the lives of .... "

He's more of an infomercial than a candidate for office

I knew Joe was going to bring it..
But..its a VP debate...meh, not much movement either way.

Ryan is coming off (just going with "feel" here) as a sort of lawyer/accountant, Joe is like..your fairly clever yet slightly drunk uncle going off on the pencilneck guy.

Normally I favor the lawyer type, but the average person wants the uncle going to bat for you.

I am going to call it already. Joe is going to win this..but it won't amount to much outside of people digging in their trenches deeper.

OK, Ryan is Pwned... it's pretty much over, he can't dig his way out of this. Biden has won the debate.

You better go back to your Birther Threads.

At least those provided chuckles for everyone.

If people mean Biden's arrogant appearing little smirks, smiles and almost dramatic acting in the split screen...that's TOO strong a thing he's doing to be spontaneous, IMO. We're watching some of what his coaches decided he was going to be told to do, I think.

His past appearances just don't carry that way....not so ...almost goofy in the overplay. It's the only area I've noticed that looks downright stupid by the over-prep..but Wow.. it sure stands out, huh?

If he had a beard it would be Billy Mays!

At least Billy Mays had to follow advertising laws.
