Anyway. What in the hell just happened with the football game there? Paul Ryan is extremely anti collective bargaining. The referees are on strike because billionaire owners do not want to honor collective bargaining. So they have brought on non-union crappy replacements. That is the Romney Ryan way and what could be more open market free business than that???

Not that it really impacts your OP, but to be clear, the NFL refs are not striking. They were locked out by the NFL. Being locked out is a preemptive strike by ownership during contract negotiations.

I think in the big picture the direction America is going is Socialism/entitlements ( see Spain/Greece to see how that turns out) Getting Obama out will reverse that direction. While not everyone likes him for whatever reason, the fact is he knows business and how to create jobs. Jobs are what America needs. Lets give him 4 years and reverse direction and see who pops up in the next election. Conservatives in America want to clean up Washington just as much as Democrats. Obviously Obama has not done it. Lets give Romney a shot.

Their may be a "Method to their Madness".

I hate that I have to say this again already.

FACTS PLEASE.
I am not interested in wild guesses that do not even have backing theory.

The GOP is self destructing so fast, many may feel a need to throw them a vote, out of Pity.

Who the # in the history of the US has ever voted for the most inept guy for president out of pity?

The GOP is after the Pity Vote, I realize it sounds crazy, But no Party can be that inept.

Your IMAGINARY IDEA WITH NO FACTS does not even make sense. Find me people that purposely choose the guy they feel will do worse just because they feel bad seeing him lose.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think it is ever a given that anyone is ever going to just win, then you have no idea how politics work.

I think your theory might have more plausibility to it than you meant for it too. The GOP looking so bad is making some democrats not vote for Obama. Who would have thought?

OK, can you back this up with anything other than the fact that it sounded good in your head?
I have been around long enough to know no one votes out of pity. I also know that no one refuses to vote for one guy out of pity for the other guy.

I would like to think I would make it more than one or two posts before my plea for facts and the thread staying on topic would go out the #ing window.

Not really a clear answer, I know.

I'd rather not end up in a bread line wearing the same underbritches for a week, if I'm not tossed into the camp for defying a DHS order first. Who knows what's in store for us if the socialist doesn't get re-elected, though - I know I'm willing to take that risk.

Hope that helps.

Are you people stupid?

Did you read the headline or OP at all?
This is not about Obama. This is not about baseless opinions. This is not about non-existent detention centers. This thread is not about Socialism.

I am seeing a definite trend coming from the right.
An inability to read one sentence and then carry a single thought to fruition.

Please, tell me how this is all for show to ensure Obama gets re-elected, all staged by TPTB... because honestly, that makes more sense to me than trying to believe this is the best we can come up with, as a nation. If so, we are seriously screwed.

Holy crap!!! It only took for posts to find someone who knows what the topic is.
What you say is kind of what scares me. The blatant and crappy lies along with the massive flip flopping on positions along with all kinds of undeniable quotes like Ryan's love of Ayn Rand to his distaste for her it just seems soooooo bad that it has to be an act.

But there are people actually supporting and defending it anyway.
At this point I can only assume those people are also putting on an act. If any of them are able to post here with something about the topic, I am hoping to understand it better.

To just by pass all the hype on both ends I haven't seen anything from the current administration for these areas. So if you are not, then you will most likely not be the big tax payer and so vote Obama, and you will benefit from his plans. If you actually plan on getting ahead in life then maybe you might not want to really think about what party will get you there.

Obviously you did not read it or the OP.
If you are scared, that is fine. Don't post in threads that scare you.
Derailing them seems pointless and childish.

It is about that simple.

Just saying one on topic thing seemed pretty simple to me and you cannot manage to do it.

Actually some of us blame it on the economic policies of Reagan, which started off great but set up the evils to follow, upon the unbelievably corrupt lobbying system in Washington, open almost all Americans living with a debt to income ration that was absolutely irresponsible - and upon the financial institutions which allowed this practice to continue through irresponsible issuance of credit and, IMO, predatory lending practices in many cases.

IE I blame misguided fiscal policy, irresponsible banking, and irresponsible consumers.

At least for a start. It's a very complex web of ideas, but the above is a reasonable simplification.

As a moderator do you think it is possible that you can figure out what the topic of this thread is?

I really do not appreciate the derailment of my thread one #ing post in. I really really do not appreciate a mod coming along, NOT MODERATING, but adding to the derailment.

Thanks for making my first thread a huge reminder that ATS has no standards.

I guess you can say that....as you ignore the state we are in....

The funny part is you would most likely say how much you hate Bush, BUT Obama has taken everything he has done and amplify it by 10 times.

Would you care to debate anyone area?

Hell I'll even debate Obamacare where 90% of America doesn't need it and 65% are totally against it as it was forces through congress where NO ONE actually read it... lol

Economy and foreign policy are easy kills for me, so let's talk the constitution or his transparency of government that he also promise.

As I said before, I care little for I will do well under either, but will you?

With all due respect in light of the OP's opening statement your response to my post is entirely off topic.

As for debate I am a lurker recently turned member so perhaps in the future. I am sure You would be a formidable opponent.

Good grief, it's kind of scary that Romney is doing okay....

I seriously think that people who support Obama need to turn out in droves least he accidently loose the elction like someone said earlier to "over confidence"

Not saying this so much as an Obama fan as I am just scared senseless of Romney and co being in charge of a restaurant let alone the country.

Several national PACS have already started looking at Republican candidates to back in house/senate races this year. They all know if they can't win the presidency, they can still try other offices. Even Paul Ryan is pumping money into ads for his re-election.

They're all getting ready for an Obama victory.

Ohio is actually doing very well, economically. Chances are they will vote for Obama, plus Gary Johnson is doing well in Ohio and other swing states.

You can't take them seriously because they are not serious candidates.

The sad truth is that the Republican party has declined with its base. Now all that are left are the plutocrats and their stupid white serfs, mostly geriatric. If they don't win this one (and they won't), watch for a total collapse of the GOP, or to avoid that happening a dramatic refashioning of itself away from it's current neo-Confederate form.

According to the entire second page of your replies, this thread is only about you flipping out on people. I don't think you were really looking for a discussion forum when you found ATS.

Maybe you were looking for "Yahoo Answers"? That's where you go when you just want to post a question and only direct answers to your questions. This is a discussion forum. Everybody was on topic even if it didn't exactly answer your question.

Maybe that says something as to how difficult it is to answer your question. It was akin to "Someone convince me to take a kick in the crotch".

I am sorry that reading is such a chore for you. I am not flipping out but yes, each post is asking people if they can at least try to discuss the topic.

If the topic is too confusing or too hard to discuss, go to a different thread.
How is that me having an issue?

How about I come # all over one of your threads with nothing but off topic posts for pages and pages?
You welcome that?

REMEMBER YOU SAID IT.

Oh, that is right. Mods might actually moderate your thread.

It is my thread and if I want it to be at least someone on topic, I am pretty sure I have that right to want that. Most mods on ATS delete off topic posts.

Yes I did read it and it sounds like you are too afraid to start your own thread on it so you put it in mine.

Tell you what. $1,000,000 goes to the first person that can explain to me why my thread should not be on topic and be convincing.

I think I laid it out for you...I'm not sure where you are coming from or what direction you plan on going in your future. I provided about the only thing I could with the amount of information at hand about you.

BTW your post is just a rant..... what is your question again?

Ok here you go...if you plan on or already make over 70k per year vote GOP.... that is about as plan as it can get... and if you do not understand why then there is really no hope for you...
