Obama to Condemn Christian Filmmaker Before United Nations

Obama will really be pouring it on next week when he is supposed to denounce that controversial film at the U.N. General Assembly.

The film "Innocence of Muslims" is what supposedly started all the ruckus last week.

Many people are now sure the film itself was not the true cause of the "uprisings".

Obama's and Hillary's "denouncement" of the film on Pakistani TV sure worked out well right?


Like a Gila Monster, he won't let go after biting.
(Legend says that if a Gila Monster bites you, it won't let go until it thunders or until the sun goes down)

Not only are we seeing the White House and State Department call more attention to the Mohammed-mocking "Innocence of Muslims" than any terrorist network ever could've hoped for, but the President's indefensible scapegoating of the film and filmmaker to draw attention and blame away from U.S. security failures apparently knows no bounds.

Next week, Obama will denounce the film in a speech before the United Nations General Assembly:

National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor previews the president's speech to the UN General Assembly next week:

"UNGA always provides an opportunity for the President to put the international situation in context, and to put forward a vision of US leadership. I would certainly expect the President to address the recent unrest in the Muslim world, and the broader context of the democratic transitions in the Arab World."

"As he has in recent days, the President will make it clear that we reject the views in this video, while also underscoring that violence is never acceptable ..............

Let's wait and see how many times this story changes between now and the "address" at the U.N.

And then let's see what reactions happen

So Obama will pander to anyone if he thinks it will keep in office.

That film has been on youtube since July and only became and issue to deflect from his failed administration and his failed foriegn policies.

Obama and his supporters will use anything and everything to deflect that is was not a film really irks me that they will gladly get on their knees for appeasement.

Obama blamed Bush for the domestic issues and ignored the damage that congress did. In fact, Obama STILL blames Bush. Now we have QE3, to prop up his failed attempts at keynesian economic fixes.

For foreign issues, he will now blame the video and not his own weak, tepid attempts at dealing with the Middle East.

This administration takes not blame, accepts no culpability, deflects and throws any and everyone under the bus. It is the action of a weak person, a coward, someone who has no spine.

This is really the meat and potatoes of what Obama has been saying since this entire issue began. He condemns the video and condemns the violence.

How is this politically advantageous for him and how else could he have handled the situation?

Could one of our great, smart thread starters PLEASE put together a video compilation of the stuff out there that mocks, hurts and degrades Christianity? Throw in the murders and history of Buddhism and other religions who remain silent in the shadows of fare worse hate crimes perpetrated against them than this silly video that has caught on like wildfire in the hot summer sun?

Show by example how to maintain ones faith without the violence.

It is also very very telling that Obama won't "denounce" any terror organizations that may be responsible.

This constant blame on "the film" and the (apparently single) "film maker" is a classic decoy.

I think Obama & Co. are trying to hoodwink the voters.

Talk about taking a two bit tacky little film I'd have called trash before anyone made a big deal of it, and elevating it to literal world fame!

If Obama wasn't so fixated and obsessed on the video...rather than where, how and by WHOM these Embassy unrest issues are happening with, we may be able to make some progress. Taking responsibility for anything, what so ever, is something I sure haven't seen in a long time though...and I don't know where the buck stops anymore. It sure isn't where it used to when a little sign about that sat on a certain desk. In this case, I guess the buck stops with a b-grade film-maker with bad taste and worse eyes for quality.

So...I guess it was entirely too far afield to keep blaming Bush. Clinton strikes me as being the working one in this situation....so The One has to christen a new scape goat.
