That was a Christian filmmaker? You're joking right?
What a slanderous association to make about God fearing, Jesus loving Christians! 90% of true Christians would be and are disgusted with this "film maker" and few except clusters of hate groups would dare to call him Christian. That's a gross oxymoron.

That was a porn film maker recently released from jail who deceived his actors into thinking they were making a film about people in the desert. But instead created a little smut piece with the intent of fueling a war.

Whats so Christian about that?

I think Condemnation is too good for this pig. But that's me.

HAHAHA I told my wife just the day before yesterday that they are going to find a way to blame Christianity for this whole situation. Someday soon you're going to start seeing Christians whose faith in Jesus is unwavering being beheaded left and right. They are going to come up with excuse after excuse and "reason" after "reason" as to why Christians are the problem in this world, and deserving of death. Praise the Lord because it just means we are one step closer to going home!

Can't we just leave him there?

Dear Stormdancer777,

My heart goes out to you. It's really a sad and frightening situation when you absolutely, beyond doubt, know what's going to happen if we don't take a certain course of action, and everyone you tell just returns to petty bickering over trivia.

To the question of what Obama should be doing. Why should he mention it at the UN at all? They've paid for ad time in the area, released articles and had interviews saying they don't like it. Why go to the UN? Just to grovel before hundreds of nations all at once? And if he has to go, why not say something like this:

"The United States stands before you today as a beacon of hope, as the dream of the world. Our people are not better than yours, but they are free. Free to find what's best for them, instead of being told what they can have. Free to accept any work, not only those jobs assigned by the state. They are free from having to surrender all of their property simply because the state wants it. Free to talk to their neighbor about any subject they choose, instead of being told what is allowed to be said. They are free to create, worship, speak, dance, love, make plans as they choose, without fear of arrest or death.

That freedom is what makes the difference. We welcome you to find the joy and prosperity that freedom brings. You may study us, learn from us, visit, whatever you want to that will help freedom grow in your land. Create freedom in your country, do not be slaves, be proud free men.

Is the exercise of freedom perfect all the time? No, but what is? But with growth and learning, the mistakes are more easily corrected. I, as an individual, don't agree with the film that has been made and shown. But I, as the President of the United States will devote our resources to ensuring that we all have the freedom to speak and worship as we please."

Ok, as a first draft?

With respect,
Charles1952

Next week, Obama will denounce the film in a speech before the United Nations General Assembly:

:shk:
Deflection on his part. Trying to take the eyes of the world off his failed foreign policy. Obama foreign policy is 'appease and apologize'. Coddling foreign muslims at the expense of constitutional rights of Americans.

It's always the same, Obama speaks out when his Muslim brothers get hurt he attacks only Christians, I did not hear him tell his Muslim brothers off when they attacked our troops in the Afgan base where they were killed.
I never heard Obama speak when Churches and bibles were burnt by Muslims a few days ago, I only hear him ordering Christians not to hurt his brothers.
I tell you America you got one heck of a Muslim supporter in the white house.

What we once thought was coddling is not coddling at all, it is not appeasement, he is on their side, he feels the way they do, we have a president that hates America and everything it stands for, I am convinced.

The majority of Americans have no clue.

That film has been on youtube since July and only became and issue to deflect from his failed administration and his failed foriegn policies.

Obama and his supporters will use anything and everything to deflect that is was not a film really irks me that they will gladly get on their knees for appeasement.

If the Republicans,Christians, and Jewish could be so lucky.

I was unaware that the rest of the world was able to vote in the US presidential election, so i do not see how this is pandering to stay in office (& get votes). That's just silly. Plus, most US Muslims would likely for a democrat anyway, i would surmise.

In addition, how is damage control by trying to ensure people (who might be offended, and who do not not quite understand that the US does not endorse the video) that the video is NOT representative of a large majority of Americans a bad thing for him to do??

He appears to be trying to put out some fires, which is a GOOD thing.

I would hope any president would act in such a way.

But hey, let's just attack the democrat for anything he does simply because he's a democrat.

So, your saying Obama isn't allowed to express his opinion...aka, the POTUS has no free speech and cannot weigh in on things?

Interesting.

He will stand up and say the video is crap, that the US isn't about slamming religion as a trait, but our speech is protected...even the stupid crap.

Yes, this is a highly controversial remark...also, he likes butter on his toast (the monster!).

You demand free speech...you demand it so much that you want to cut out others speech. I love the smell of hypocracy in the morning.

All I have to say is, if you are an American and you love this country and you value what little freedoms you have left, please drop the partisan bickering, now.

I don't care what race you are this is worse than my wildest imagination, I knew it was bad, but I didn't want to believe it was this bad, the future depends on us standing together.

-dies laughing-
You...telling people to stop partisan bickering? lol...
This is like a cat coming out to mice and saying the violence and hunting must stop.

Listen...the POTUS is going to the UN to basically say slamming religion is not a US value, its not a stance by the US as a whole that this is acceptable and good behavior.
Do you disagree with this? simple yes or no

Next, he will go on about how even though the film sucked, its protected by our free speech. That to remove this means to remove anything unpopular, and thats how tyranny starts.

Do you disagree here?

So, since the right wing does everything exactly opposite of Obama, then its safe to assume a President Romney would go to the UN and praise the film..talk about how lovely it is, and how the US totally backs this specific film as a national asset.

Fair enough.

Hense why I won't be voting for Romney...I still have at least 4 brain cells left.

What crime did he commit here? .... NONE! But one in another country AND they already established the death penalty for him there... lol what planet are you living on?

So we put him in jail here...as you say... for what? What do we accuse him of? Do we just grab him and tell the world we are going to lock him away for the next 20 years to atone for his sins?

I don't think the President is very happy that his four years of foreign policies have basically exploded in his face. In this area he is flailing like a drowning man hoping to get through the next few months before the SHTF and is willing to say or do anything right now to appease these countries to get past the election. I'm willing to bet he will be saying some stuff in the next month or so to do this that the average American will say WTF when they lean of it.

The president represents this country, not just his opinion.

When hes a sitting president, addressing the UN, he is not a man, he is the Figure head for all of us.

He may not like what was said, but as president he better damn well protect that mans right to say it.

I don't fault Obama for this, he should, as the President... as any American President should, condemn that video. I think it does need to be stated that all Americans don't view Islam in such a twisted way, but he shouldn't apologize for free speech and he isn't. He should make clear that no American Law was violated and no American will be punished for it and that Freedom of Speech often times means hearing things that you don't like and don't agree with and that being offended is justifiable cost for such a freedom.

Just watched the video, it reminds me of how non tolerant people are, they have so much invested in their personal ways that they can not respect others for theirs but would only accept others if they will agree to switch over.

Will the world become fully Islamic one day? Maybe at the rate we are going.
