indeed, I find it HILARIOUS that the Obama Admin claims to be for the people and for the little man...

yet he totally and repeatedly invalidates small business owners and anyone striving for upward mobility and self fulfillment..

You might want to listen to the speech...not the whole thing, but the sentence right before and right after.
He was discussing the system..how the system we have created in america works to help businesses succeed..such as roads, the internet, etc...a business grows on the structure government lays down...no, a small mom and pop shop did -not- build the internet..they profit off of it. They built only their customer base...which is fantastic. running a business is difficult and consuming, I speak from personal experience. I do web development and 3d rendering. I didn't build the internet, but I use it. I don't build platforms, I use them. My success or failure is determined by my focus, and what I am building (customer base) is my victory...but yes, I need infrustructure.

The argument is the people that want to dismantle infrustructure through defunding the sciences and government innovation, destroy education, etc are trying to suggest that mom and pop can build the new internet, the space stations, or whatever the future holds.

The -closest- business that actually can claim they built "that" would be Halliburton in their no bid contracts for iraq...they built (rebuilt) some of Iraq..mostly oil sites and such.

The people..the voters, understand the context...the right has failed in their disingenious spin.
