Medicaid: The largest of all safety net programs, Medicaid enrollment for the first time ever topped 50 million in June 2010, the most recent figures available. That's up from 42.3 million in June 2007.
President Barack Obama's health care law will extend coverage to 30 million uninsured and keep the basic design of Medicare and Medicaid the same. I

The bailouts to private institutions, zombie banks and hedge fund operators have seen the biggest redistribution of wealth in the history of man kind, the rich have got richer the poor poorer. Quantitative easing is also a redistribution from bottom to top. So anyone who believes the rich are suffering is seriously deluded. Anyone who thinks the poor are benefitting from redistribution of wealth, clearly cant see beyond the end of their noses.edit on 19-9-2012 by woodwardjnr because: (no reason given)

The problem is that it is backfiring. Or maybe that was the intended goal. The more Obama tries to redistribute wealth the more the economy fights back and suffers. That is why we have RECORD cash held by businesses and NO jobs. The cash is there for the jobs, it just isn't being spent because the economy is afraid of Obama. If you don;t believe me look it up yourself.

The economy is afraid of Obama??? Really?
The economy is afraid of Europe and China and the middle east...
I am afraid of the massive sums of crazy pills being dolled out to ATS members -
The uncertainty surrounding taxes, Obamacare and exploding regulations has been, as Steve Wynn succinctly said, a “wet blanket” on the economy, and that sentiment has been echoed by a chorus of business leaders
it looks like the support for the American Jobs Act is unraveling a bit from both sides of the aisle for that matter. Could the writing be on the wall for President Obama’s presidency?

My friend, Both Parties believe in Redistribution.
The only Difference is in which Direction.
GOP = Money heads North, Rich get Richer
Dems = Money heads South, Poor receive aid

Bull.
There is no difference. The so called "aid" is nothing more then a mechanism to keep the poor poor so the rich Democrats have a readily available supply of cheap labor.

Maybe that's the case in the us, but here in the uk, small business's are folding weekly because the banks are failing to provide loans and cash. The result being smaller business's can't continue while the corporations take over. We keep giving the banks interest free cash and they are using it to consolidate rather than invest that money into the real economy.

Obama is talking crap for those that are not happy with having the filthy rich getting all the government favoritism as they can buy the whores in congress to pass laws in their favors
I can not believe people still fall for "Obama the socialist", the man has done nothing to the poor but increase the welfare state incredibly.
Tax payers are squeezed blindly to pay for the rich at every turn, remember people is call bailouts.
The fed this week just told the public that we most invest once again (bailout) the filthy banks so people can buy homes what a crock, in other words at a tune of 40 billion a months banks will be able to bailout themselves again to keep the markets going because the mortgage has not stop melting down, there you have the so call Q3, but you know what Q1 and Q2 did already, no a darn thing.
Fed buying US bonds that China doesn't want and bailing out the banks again.
Yeah, redistribution my big Latino arse.edit on 19-9-2012 by marg6043 because: (no reason given)
