Massive Armada of ships from 25 countries in Persian Gulf

Any war games of this size and scope can only mean one thing. We are showing our cooperation with allies to the region so they know who they are fighting. This may be a ruse by USA to show its strength in larger numbers using "Games" as their excuse.

There is no question this is a blatant show of force for Iran.

I don't know if the Telegraph is reliable but I do know that there are no active battleships. The last news report I read of about the up coming deployment said it was a mine sweeping training exercise. Nothing really major or out of the ordinary.

I would agree that the media isn't the best at the class ID of warships....(thinks of the DNC ,...lol..) but the number and variety is bad timing, preplanned or not. Preplanned can be cancelled too if the downsides outweigh the benefit.

In this case training seems awfully likely to become downright loud and real before anyone knows it. I mean really, this is hardly peace time yet not quite war yet. It's seemingly in a spot inbetween..... Just a good hard push either way I'd imagine...

So, these guys are there to protect Israel from a pre-emptive strike OR a retaliatory strike from Iran.
For one thing, it's Israel that is of the of the pre-emptive mindset, it's Israel's war if it happens.

Retaliatory though? So Israel wants to start a war that doesn't have to happen, and if Iran tries to defend itself these 25 countries will attack Iran?
If all this support was not there, would Israel be far less likely to be an aggressor?

That just sounds so not right.
Who here is the aggressor?
Where is the buildup to protect Iran from Israel?

It's like other kids protecting the schoolyard bully from his victim if he (the victim) gets angry and brave enough to pop him one.
I guess there is more street cred. being on the bullies side.

But, of course, Israel is blessed by god and contains gods chosen people so, tough titties to you Iran, Israel are always the good guys, even when they are not.

It's religion, that's why they are on Israels side.

Its a mine sweeping exercise. So you can put away your tin foil hats for a bit. These are no ships that attack they are used if the gulf is mined. It goes on every year.

Did you miss the part about it being the largest exercise in the region ever, or how about the fact that there are 3 nimitz class carrier groups in the region? It seems a little more than just sweeping mines.
