Denver22 was stating his opinion and I thought it was on the mark.

If his comments snapped some people out of the fantasy lands they were tiptoeing through then good. As for the rest it is probably going to take more than a simple wake up call to make them realize they need to think outside the box, open their minds, and let their baloney detectors separate these nonsense tales from reality.

I think the main point about this thread is, when is it going in the HOAX bin.

But you can measure it. You can compress it, move it and analyze it.

You can feel it and you can observe it's affects on things.

How about electricity? You can't see it either. Yet it's there too.

And again, you can feel it, you can manipulate it, measure it, and see it's affect on things.

What about Protons and Neutrons? Can't see them either, but they are there too. And again, we can manipulate them to see things: nuclear power planets, nuclear bombs.....CERN..........

There are many things you can't see, yet we know they are there because of being able to observe their affects on things we can see or measure.

Electricity itself is the actual flow of electrons. You can't see electrons (they are 2000 times smaller than a Proton or Neutron), but you can see how they affect things.

So again: you can't see it, but we know it's there because of the affect it has on something else.

Why do I look? You said it yourself, this is a conspiracy site. Maybe sometime I will look at a doomporn thread and see a bit of info that is realistic and has some link that actually has some credibility. This wasn't one of them.

He does have a right to state his opinion, we all do, but he's just being a plonker and annoying quite a few of us. It's this sort of un-evolved behaviour that reduces ATS to the level of GLP and that makes me sad.

This place is open to EVERYONE you don't have to believe 99.999999% of the BS on here to be interested in the site, as some forums/threads deal with FACTS not FANTASY!! so is that ok with you.

They stood up to this childish name calling where people were labeled shills. Good for them.

One of the hallmarks of a failed claim is for posters to lash out at people that have correctly pointed out hoaxes such as this topic.

But you also shouldn't spend your time here belittling people for their beliefs and that's all he has done. Personally I love threads like this, even though I don't believe in most of them. Taking part is half the fun on a site like this and he's ruining the fun for some of us.

If the clock is supposed to countdown to September 09, 2012 13:23:33 local time for whoever is viewing it (as found in the sites source code), then we won't know for sure that nothing has happened until September 09, 2012 13:23:33 has occurred all over the world.

Again, I don't believe that anything will happen, but it's fun to watch it and see. Also, it may answer a question that I've been asking for a decade "How do we know which time-zone the predictions are made for?"

Another way for people to recognize that a subject is a hoax is when there is the urge to call for censorship. Instead of posting something like "go away if you are not interested" simply count to ten and ask yourself why you need to shut people out. The poster is interested and that is why they are posting. The post may be to shore up your thinking or to show it wrong.

Here are some hoax concepts that should be a warning to people that something is not right withthe story being presented:
1. Nibiru
2. second Sun
3. south pole trajectory
4. end of the world
5. new DNA
6. Wilcock, Pye, Drunvalo
7. increased quakes and volcanoes
8. fireballs increasing

The list is short, but feel free to add to it.
