My final post is now up.

This was one of the most challenging and throughly researched debates I've participated in to date. Completely outside of my own belief system, I almost found myself a convert. (Not really! )

It was tough sorting through all the biased material, but there is both biased and unbiased material to be found, and I did my best to link what I thought to be the most relevant. Of course, that made it kind of quote heavy, but in this debate I thought it was important to link to factual information.

Judgment for the OBE debate is in...

The closest thing I've ever had, before, to any sort of structured debate was divorce court. I got SLAMMED there. Twice!!!!

So a tie? I'll proudly and happily take that! SonoftheSun did an excellent job and, quite frankly, thought he threw a TKO punch in the second post. I did not use sources and avoiding doing so strategically because my cursory search for them kept leading me to brightly like websites that wanted to tell me about my chakras.

Congratulations SonoftheSun! And thank you judges, and ATS! This debate was truly one of the most enjoyable things I've experienced on ATS in awhile!

I am very happy that this judgment has been declared a tie ! I think that Hefficide and I have done the best we could do with what we had in hand. For me, the only conclusion was a tie, as Heff has demonstrated that our soul is at play while I have demonstrated that the brain is also part of the puzzle.

I thank and commend the judges for an impartial judgment ! I thank Heff, once more, for an incredible match and I'll say once again that it has been an honor debating you !! The FUN part was a bonus !!

I think a 3rd judge to break a tie is in order. Everyone who participates in these debates puts a lot of time and effort into it and a tie seems kind of……PC.

There isn’t much satisfaction for either participant in a tie. I’m the type of person who believes not everyone should get a trophy; there are winners and losers.

Just my $.02

Do any fighters out there agree there should be a 3rd judge to break a tie?
