Your example hits the nail on the head with the Sears CEO.

At one time a CEO may have sunk profits back into the company. Hired better people and paid them a little more. Other businesses would have profited as well on the coat tails of the effort.

It's really simple, for me at least. if the person looks like THAT, I don't care what comes out of their mouth. That she is oprah wealthy is a second strike against her. Money usually handles people, and it did a number on her, sheesh.
