See, you thought I'm just crazy. The FDA under Obamacare is making it necessary to get a dr. prescription for Vitaim C. You know, Vitamin C cures the flu. I guess you'll just have to get one of those flu vaccines.

People just don't realize what is COMING!

Okay, here goes (sorry for image size)

I managed to go shopping to Walgreens in the states through google. But I am in Germany.

I googled one-a-day and hit shopping. This is what I got.

I then picked the first one and got this

I picked a store (Walgreens) and got this

Read this:

Google complies with FDA demands to secretly disable Adwords accounts of nutritional detox companies

The latest attack on free speech in America comes from the FDA and is supported by Google Adwords. NaturalNews has learned that the FDA is quietly, and without notice to affected companies, commanding Google to disable the full Adwords accounts of nutritional supplement companies offering "detox" or "chelation" nutritional products.

This secret war against nutritional supplement companies is being waged entirely outside the law, as the FDA gives no notice to affected companies and does not give them any opportunity to respond in their defense. No judge, no jury, no notice, no due process. The FDA simply bypasses legal notice requirements and goes straight to Google, which complies by disabling Adwords accounts, shutting off an important source of revenue for nutritional supplement companies.

An economic embargo ordered by the FDA and obeyed by Google Adwords

Why isn't this more widely known????

First, I was pissed. But yeah, scary. VERY scary.

The implications are mind boggling.

I'm a Vitamin Shoppe guy myself.

This completely blows my mind.

There is almost NOTHING out there explaining this, other than what I have posted above thus far.

Seems that Natural News is the only source for that claim.

Availability, at this point, isn't really the point, now is it?

If the government (assuming that is the genesis of this) can influence commercial search engines in this manner, I think that is something worth taking very serious note of, don't you?

Why do you assume the government is the source? Google is not the only commercial search engine, right?

Another article

One of the distinguishing features of autocrats is that in their frenzy to eliminate enemies, they never finish their work. There are always more enemies lurking in this corner or that.

Old-fashioned dictators like Josef Stalin or Saddam Hussein used to go after people enemies, always finding new plots and traitors.

Our U.S. Food and Drug Administration goes after food and herbs and minerals and vitamins. One by one, or group by group, it seeks to eradicate those it consider threats, ostensibly because of "safety" concerns, even when no such real-life problem exists.

When it isn't conducting undercover investigations of Amish farmers or private food clubs, as part of its effort to stamp out raw dairy products, it is diligently making lists of nutritional supplements to ban from the marketplace.

The FDA had compiled a long initial list of herbs, minerals, and vitamins it began targeting ten years ago-I counted 155. Among them, D-Ribose, SAMe, and a variety of internal cleanses.

www.thecompletepatient.com...

It looks like they snuck this one by everyone.
My wife is going shopping today. We're gtting a case of vitamins and other stuff. You never know. . .

In terms of possible government influence? Agreed.

But I haven't found copious sources out there even demonstrating the fact Google has done this.

The assumption derives from the article that alleges as much. I did not say I was convinced by it.

Moreover, I am equally aware there are other commercial search engines. But I think Google's relevance is somewhat on a different plane than it's competitors.

I'm quite sure you are aware of this.

As I am aware that Google does what Google will.
If the government had something to do with it, why not other engines?

As a consumer of its services, I would like to know why?

That has specific relevance to my decisions and how I wish to make them in the future.

Moreover, if this policy is in fact a matter of government influence, I'd like to know and understand that too.

That has a different relevance of perhaps greater importance.

As someone with direct experience running several businesses in a heavily regulated industry, I can promise you the government's enforcement or influence over ANYTHING is anything but uniform or equitable.

Moreover, why do you assume any others are indeed not next?

We've established that you can't use google. But could you still visit say GNC or Walgreens or the shop you usually go to and buy direct from them?

Is it just google or have they imposed a ban on each separate entity?
