I couldn't agree with you more. The most recent one was a cataclysmic tsunami that was due to hit Australia over the weekend ... funnily enough, no mountain of water.

I really, honestly, truly think that those on ATS that make these predictions should have 1 attempt, and 1 attempt only; if they are wrong, they are never allowed to make a prediction again.

OR, have a "you were wrong" forum, where the poster has to apologize for wasting everyone else's time. Might seem harsh, but it will make people think before they have a late night, red bull inspired typing session proclaiming the end of the world as we know it.

We screwed up our environment.....We gotta quit arguing and fix it. We gotta stop listening to people who profit by it's destruction....that simple, buy locally produced food, vacation locally, don't buy things we do not need, make a garden and combine trips to the store so we don't waste gas and time. The earth can fix itself if we start respecting it instead of raping it.

If we eat more natural foods that our bodies recognize, we will stay healthier. Screw this GM food and livestock that is fed food that they aren't supposed to eat. Big corporations are screwing the meat up to make it more profitable. Old ranchers have been BS'ed into believing the new way is better than the old way. livestock grazing in a field is good but crowding too many in a spot so you can bet more influential in society causes all sorts of problems. Having a hundred head of cattle is respectable, so is having ten. Nobody needs to have a thousand head, relax and let more of your kind make a living at it. If you are a big farmer, wouldn't it be nice to be smaller again and have less stress and more of your kind to talk to?

Maybe we need change in 2012. Maybe everyone got carried away and were BSed into believing getting rich was better than being a respectable regular person. Do we need three hundred TV channels? Do we need a new car every two years? Does our car have to be nicer than others, a car doesn't make you better, it makes others feel intimidated and they then dislike you a bit more. Our society has gone astray from listening to deceit and misguided Economical tactics for so long. We complicated living. I hope people learn to want less this year, hopefully their wants will match their real needs. One rose is most times better than a dozen roses.

Have you guys noticed that it shows time for your timezone.

For me its 12 hours 44 minutes to go. Apocalyptic events should start happening in Australia and New Zealand. Target time seems to be around 1:25pm or something like that.

So what was it? Tsunamis? Earthquakes? God's Wrath? Zombies? Aliens? Bioweapons? Nukular Worr?

I hope it's not zombies, but if it is I'll need to look at it very closely to make sure it's not just more viral marketing for season 3 of The Walking Dead.
