Apparently you have not had any run in with the cops? I was with two other friends out behind my house with a BB rifle shooting at ducks in the bayou. I was 17 I believe and all three of us were smoking Malbaro Reds and we thought we were such freakin awesome rebels. Well there was this really overly concerned girl walking the dirt path and she called the cops on us. He did not arrive until we were under a bridge near my house. We didn't see him park on the bridge but we did see him walk down. Now we didn't run, we sat there and waiting like smart people. He noticed my rifle and asked what kind of gun it was. While answering, and I will admit this wasn't the wisest of choices, I went to show him.
Well when I turned back around I was staring down the barrel of his oh so shiney handgun. He did not say freeze before pulling the gun out, did not warn me. Just BAM gun drawn at my face. You could clearly tell it was a BB rifle, it was a barrel-break kind and it clearly had no mag on/around it, now I know that doesn't mean it isn't loaded. And guess what Einstein did next to check the gun? He freakin looked down the barrel!! Anyways, I'll wrap this up. He escorted us up to the street and handcuffed us with our hands so far up our backs, my friend and I could easily touch our shoulder blades.

Sodomy=Rape

If anyone I know is treated like this, I cannot imagine the violation would be anything but tantamount to rape. The only reason to do anything this lewd is because there is a KNOWN explosive. Even then, I'd think you'd need a damn fine reason to go on a body cavity search of this magnitude.

Well right wingers, you get what you wanted, for voting for every sheriff and politician who promised to be "tough on crime." You have supported the militarization of our cops. You've cheered on every bit of fear-mongers thrown at you. When Bush said we needed an Orwellian-named Department of Homeland Security, you sent in campaign contributions to every hard right candidates and presto!, we have the TSA.

This is perfectly legal now. Don't any of you remember what the right wing Supreme Court just ruled a few months back? Someone may be strip searched following being stopped for ANY infraction, even not having a bell on your bike in some states, in the interest of safety and good order of jails. The Court deemed the risk of contraband entering a jail and destabilizing order of the jail enough justification to deprive someone of their 4th amendment rights. Oh, and the strip search can be conducted at the first point of detainment, aka the side of the road.

Just another reason why I choke back anger every time any republican pundit claims the mantle of limited government. What a crock.

The surveillance cameras at McDonald's are private and usually bring an insurance discount, I have used them at my business and residence.

The ones that alarm me are the ones that have recently been erected ALL OVER where I live. Up and down streets and busier roads as well as at intersections both busy and not too busy. Someone even started a thread about them recently

Well, in my small town they have put them up everywhere. It is scary when you are driving on farm roads and they have cameras at every turn. they also recently put them up every 50ft on the highway with digital message boards every 5 miles or so. makes me wonder what they are planning or preparing for. The simplest solution is normally the right one. It's for us.

There are simply too many to monitor, by humans that is.

I said something to a guy I was working with and he said "those are just for viewing the traffic". People are so ridiculously brainwashed they actually believe that, some are of course, but not all by any stretch of the imagination. For example, my daughter and I counted 17 cameras (that we could readily see) at or within about 100' of one normal intersection four of which are the regular traffic cameras..

It doesn't matter what I think they are for or why they are being installed at "overdrive" speed. But, when you pay attention to some of the technology TPTB have at their disposal they do begin to make more sense.

I rather doubt this was a public display of adultery. And I was mentioning sodomy in terms of violation of the human anatomy.

It was a horrible thing to do, a violation of rights, uncalled for, and deserving of severe retribution in a dark alley somewhere, and I hope this lady knows some folks capable of such retribution.

BUT, it wasn't rape or sodomy in the technical terms.

It was a virtual rape of our Constitution and overall humanity, and it seems humanity is being broken down time after time to get us comfortable with these abuses of authority.

Here's the problem for me personally. I don't have a dog in the fight...... yet. I don't want to wish for something like this to happen to me, and I don't want my friends or family to have to suffer, and therefore I cannot run out and martyr myself for a stranger, but to the people that are directly impacted by these abuses............ DO SOMETHING!!! Something beyond suing. Something gutteral. Something outrageous. Something unexpected and severe. Take back your rights and your humanity at all costs.

That's what I would do, if I did have a dog in the fight.

The people should make it so scary, so dangerous, so disgusting and frightening for a police officer to even consider violating our rights, that they walk up to our cars with their hat in their hand and apologize for having to pull us over and write a ticket, and they ask us to please slow down in the future so neither of us have to have this uncomfortable encounter ever again. That is a "peace" officer, and we have the power to create those.

Look at her record. She has a record a mile long. She does not even have a drivers lisence. Shes got a felon for multiple driving on a suspended. DUI drugs or alchol offenses. So what tit does she keep drinking from?
