the point you seem unable to grasp is when america sets itself up as the worlds policeman,we expect the US to abide by international law, not take the attitude of do as i say not as i do.
america is in for the shock of its life if it tries to pull the same s*it in syria that it pulled in iraq and libya, china has the potential and means to wipe the floor with you if it gets involved in this.

And how pray tell will China pull of this little feat of magic? By trying to fire over Russia? Russia will not allow The Chinese to fire anything over them or their airspace. Chinas navy is also not up to the task. The only thing China could do is attack Taiwan and SK then. If it is any engagement outside of China They will lose.

2003 - China sends man into space.
2007 - China hit a satellite in a 500 mile orbit with a missile. Hitting a satellite is not easy. Previous to this the US and Russia were the only countries able to do this. Some serious technological achievements are signaled by China.
2010 - China shoots down a second satellite.

You don't need to send a ship to do the damage. Russia and China are to some degree allies so far as the question of Syria goes. The two military powers are forming an alliance. See HERE

Those two points are enough for me too see that China must have some nasty stuff in their arsenal. They are very impressive feats whether you like them or not, believe in their capabilities or not.

Wasn't there another incident when a Chinese submarine popped up in a US military exercise undetected? I don't know about anyone else, but China certainly have not been twiddling their thumbs all this time and I'm sure they would have some stuff that maybe not even the US knows about.

if it helps you sleep carry on beleiving that,i was under the impression russia was backing syria in all this.
do you really beleive america could win a ground war in syria with iranian, russian and chinese military involved?
its debateable who came out the victors in afganistan and iraq and you were fighting a poorly equiped enemy in both theaters.
let me tell you to the rest of the world it looks like america lost the stomach for the fight and is trying to get out as quickly as possible.
ww3 will start as ground war and go nuclear when the US and israel realise they cant win.

You know as well as I do that they were delivered in accordance with a 2008 contract to repair three Mi-25s.

The helicopters were never delivered. The Russians have decided for the time being to suspend arms shipments to Syria. That includes the contract for the Yak-130 aircraft. The Syrian Mi-25 attack helicopters were offloaded in the Baltic last month. Russia had enough grief from the international community so they put a hold on deliveries both old and new.

The ship, at the center of a diplomatic row between Russia and the West, has offloaded the aircraft in the Russian port of Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad region, a security source said on Friday. The Alaed docked at St. Petersburg later in the day. The helicopters were originally overhauled at the 150th aircraft repair plant in of Kaliningrad.“We haven’t received them yet… They are being returned to us,” the plant spokesman said.

Cool thanks!
I stopped following this story because I felt it was a non-story anyways. Thanks for denying my ignorance, I thought they were delivered.

You really need to study more. TOMMYJOE backs up the fact Russia is not making deliveries of weapons and that they are not in Syria right now. Iran would not be able to move troops in a timely fashion over their mountains. Syria will not even be fought because that regime is going down on its own. Russia will not allow ANY MILITARY BUT ITS OWN to fly over its Country unless escorted and un armed.

China if they did get there would have Supply issues let alone being shot at by anti air missiles that track on jamming BTW and can even circle back around if it misses.
Iraq and afghanistan were objective missions. The objective was to set up a new government in each one. They did that so objectively they Won. My notion of being beaten is totaL loss of military capability not a few soldiers here and there who make up 2 percent of the entire army at most. The nuclear option would only come up if they were to strike first. Thats highly unlikely because the fallout will kill them as well.

What this indicates is that China has ICBM capability which has been known for some which they have HAD for some time.

Weve known that for 20 yrs. They just cannot hit a moving target with them yet being ballistic missiles if the target suddenly changes course after their ascent phase.

Isreal is Syria's neighbor, Irans not, Iran needs to stop its usual warmongering and its history of the most military interventions out of any nation. Funny how that works aint it?

False, Iran does not have a history of the most military interventions out of any nation. That honor belongs to the USA.

Thanks for playing, try again

Oh! You're back! Did you happen to find any sources for the most military interventions (by Iran) out of any nation yet? Or are you now willing to admit it was your opinion?

i dont know where to start with this one.
i dont doubt you see iraq and afganistan as a win,yes you did manage to install puppet governments in both countries but if you think the taliban are a spent force in afganistan its you who needs to study more,
they are crossing border from pakistan, using hit and run tactics then disapearing back across the border,as well as seeming able to strike at U.S.and U.N. forces inside so called secure zones.
Irraq is different yes the iraqi army was rendered incapable but insurgents have been holding their own against vastly superior forces.
i would also suggest that the mess you left the iraqi people in puts paid to the lie that america wanted to save the ordinary iraqis from an evil dictator,it proves iraq war 2 was about your intellectually challenged president looking after his corrupt cronies in the oil industry as payback for helping him get "elected" president.
so while you see this as a win, history will see the war and the presidency of bush jr as america's shame.
Seeing as you proffess to know so much about russian, chinese, syrian and iranian millitary capability,no doubt you can account for every russian and chinese nuclear sub?
i am also curious if you really think syria(who share a border with those friendly israelis) hasnt been stockpiling arms since the six day war?
the same goes for iran they have been a thorn in the side of the U.S. since the cats paw shah was removed from office in the seventies, its naive to think iran wont have plans in place for a scenario of U.S./israeli aggression against a sovereign middle eastern nation.
i get the impression that you are trying to convince yourself that the USA is still the worlds no.1 super power, china is a lot stronger now than the USA wants to admit.

Here is the russian submarine forces. They usually operate in artic water and near their own countrys water with few atlantic patrols.

Delta IV class submarine (4)
Typhoon class submarine (1) reportedly 2 may be reactivated
Oscar class submarine (2)
Sierra class submarine (2)
Akula class submarine (5)
Victor class submarine (4)
Kilo class submarine (4)
Borei class submarine 2 in sea trials
Yasen class submarine '1 in sea trials'

Below is Chinas submarine force. they mostly operate in the pacific

Romeo (Wuhan) class submarine (Type 033G) - 1 boat
Romeo (Ming) class submarine (Type 035) - 17 boats
Kilo class submarine - 12 boats
Song class submarine (Type 039) - 13 boats[2]
Yuan class submarine (Type 041) - 7 boats (more under construction)
Improved Yuan class - 0 (boats under construction)[3]
Total - 50 boats

As for the rest i say it falls on you to disprove me. Do or do not i truly do not care. Because I know I am right and will never change that opinion with your input. I dislike the government, but i love the military. Its made up of some wonderful people who are just trying to get to the next day and support their families.
