They have to pay for those tax cuts of their funders...the top 1%

If you're not part of the 1% and vote for the GOP you're a moron...simple as that.

In Las Vegas the casinos only need a 1% advantage to rake in Billions of the flow of Money from the average joe hoping to get rich.

Team Romney and the GOP are simply carnival barkers in suits. They want a system that continues to put the finger on the scale to benefit the 1%. All the time shouting at passerbys that you too could get rich...just a few dollars to play!! And knowing the game is rigged in thier favor all the while stuffing bills in thier pockets.

Deflect much? This isn't about the ACA.

No deflection the bait title of the thread created a broad topic of discussion considering people are trying to act that poverty "gets created by the Gop".

The fact is Liberal ideology poverty has been created and expanded to unprecedented levels under liberal ideology giving tax breaks to people who have zero tax liability. and continually try to nickle and dime a minorty to prop up bad spending habits.

This is about Republicans giving tax breaks to the wealthy and raising taxes on the poor and middle class.

And to reitterate 50% of this country does not pay any tax whatsoever

Did the Republicans offer a bill that lowers taxes for the wealthy? Did they offer tax increases for the poor and middle class?

Yeah they did considering people who are on welfare over 50 million people on SS,Medicare, medicaid do not create jobs or wealth but do nothing but destroy it.

The largest Banker, retirement provider, and insurance provider is the US federal government that should rightly be in the private sector.

That create jobs where people would make more than they do, and we wouldn't have over 150 million getting paid by the tax revenue of that minority of 5 million.

Repeat, repeat, repeat: How can you raise taxes on the poor (+/- 50% of the U.S.) when they have never paid taxes in their lives, instead dependent on the government system itself?

Care to change your OP so that it will make some sense to some of us?

I'm for a flat tax with no loopholes myself.

I do not support tax cuts for anybody, tax cuts should be for EVERYBODY.

I'm sick and tired of the wealthy getting all the benefits while i get none.

I guess you’re calling bill gates a moron, Gorge Soros a moron, Steve Jobs, Nancy Polocey, Dian Feinstein, John Kerry, well, all top Democrats for that matter. haha, they all have tax shelters and off shore accounts. dont kid yourself.

I think a flat taxs with no loop holes would be great! or a used tax would work too.

You should really fact check your posts before posting nonsense like that

The only part that's semi-true is that they don't pay federal income tax...which is because their income is SO LOW that they otherwise wouldn't survive. You then have to ask yourself why that is. Once you do, you realize that average salaries of the bottom 95% grew by a mere 16.9% over the past 25 years...not per year, IN TOTAL. The remaining 5% saw their income increase by 419% during the same time. THAT'S why they CAN'T AFFORD to pay taxes!

And of course there's tons of other taxes those people still pay.

To sum it up:

To actually pay zero taxes, someone would have to be unemployed, not own any property, live in Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire or Oregon, where there is no sales tax, and not buy anything that has an excise tax, such as alcohol, cigarettes or gasoline.

And can the other average joe or jane help that there are those that stupid?

POTUS and his service union did nothing to help the situation in Las Vegas.

Do you remember that?

Cut the throat of the "evil snake" aka job producers and the average joes and janes lose.

No...not calling them morons because they don't vote for the GOP. Of course they have tax shelters, but at least they're not pushing for extending tax cuts for people that don't need it while they demand poor people to foot the bill

Wow ...geez...I suppose that the 300Million plus, 99% of Americans that pay tax everytime they buy gas, groceries, rent or own real estate and every other time they pay for anything...are due a refund on those taxes???? Lets not count payroll tax either...

Here is a story problem....If one person who earns 10 Million a year buys groceries and pay taxes on that grocery bill...And 200 people that make 50k per year (total 10 Million) also buy groceries for each of thier 200 families and pay taxes on that grocery bill...which group paid more in tax? Ditto Gas...Food...Rent....EVERYTHING. Plus a higher tax rate than a Romney...at 13.9%

Just BS, that argument that 50% of Americans don't pay taxes...you need to pretend that they don't get taxed on thier paycheck, home or any purchase they make. The 300 Million folks that are not in the 1% pay the majority of taxes in this country..

Federal income taxes are just a small part of the tax picture. There are still property taxes, state income taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes and excise taxes, just to name a few.

When they say 50% dont pay taxes, well yeah, technically they do pay taxes. They have taxes withheld from their pay check, but when April 15th comes rolling around they get all there withholding back in the form of tax credits. So technically they don’t pay taxes.

Taxes get withheld from wages but they see it all come back when they file there taxes to IRS for the year. Hence 50% figure coming from the IRS. How would the IRS know how many tax payers don’t pay taxes??..... From the tax payers tax returns.

So to make a long story short, They are taxed for the year, but get it all back and the end of the year. This goes for 49.7% of the tax paying population in the USA.

So really the fugure is higher when counting people that dont file W-2. What that number is, i dont know.

PS, i dont watch tv or the news so dont throw the FOX NEWS book at me as i wont throw the CNBC, MSNBC, ABC, CNN book at you.

Doesn't change the fact that the "50% don't pay taxes" statement is FACTUALLY WRONG. Yet for some reason Fox & Co keep on repeating that same lie over and over and over and over again.

It also highlights a key issue: Why did income of the average american only grow by 16.9% over the last 25ish years while that of the top 5% grew by 419%? THAT'S the issue everyone should be talking about!

Do you understand the difference between federal taxes and other taxes??? To say they don't pay taxes is FACTUALLY WRONG.

And again, the reason they don't pay federal income taxes is because their income is so low, they wouldn't survive otherwise. The reason for that is that everything got more expensive yet their income only grew by less than 17% over 25 years...while that of the top great by over 400%!!!

What?? No offense, but the "job producers" have enjoyed historically low tax rates (Bush era Tax rates) for a decade now....Where the ef have the jobs been? Cuz as I remember it the economy nearly collapsed.

Trickle down DOES NTO WORK....It is a wealthy man asking a man dying of thirst to give him his last gulp of water and promising him he will fill the canteen again when he pees.

NO ONE hires ANYONE when they are simply given more money...THEY HIRE folks when there is demand for thier products and they need to expand. The middle class needs to be healthy in order for Demand/consumption to rise.

The idea that you give a business owner more money and they will hire is just dumb. They will SAVE and wait for the middle class to start spending again, which will never happen cuz they just TOOK the middle classes money.

This lesson repeated itself with the bailouts...What the ef happened to that money??? The banks never loaned it, cuz businesses didn't have customers...no one to invest in. banks invested in Oil, Energy and Crop Futures...driving food and gas prices up. Banks figured people still needed gas and food no matter what.

You don't pour gas onto a spark plug to start an engine...you put in the tank...DEMAND/CONSUMPTION...THE MIDDLE CLASS.

God help me..."Job Creators" is the most offensive abuse of the english language in politics.

The 1% have had these tax breaks for 10 years....then trillions in bailouts......What jobs did the job creators produce???? Besides near economic collapse and the worst unemployment rate in almost a century???

No clue.
Close the loophole. I'm fine with that.

But to take money away from people who might actually need that. And then give that money to the rich in tax cuts.
The rich don't need tax cuts.

Should of taken that money to enforce laws already on the books.

OK dude fox news have nothing to do with any of this. I dont even watch tv and from the looks of it it seems you watch alot of fox news to know what they broadcast so ill take your word for it.

My data comes from the IRS. And your right, 50% dont pay taxes. Its 49.7% so ill give you that. Those people pay the payroll withholding tax every time they get a paycheck. Then get all there money back after they file taxes in the form of tax credits at the end of the year. So if you want to get technical with words, they pay taxes on a month to month bases but get it all back at the end of the year so how is this paying taxes when at the end of the year its a wash and you get your money back?

Read some of the IRS date sheets and educate yourself. stop watching fox news, you like to quote it alot.

It is factually correct because that income tax introduces new wealth by the private sector to cover the difference of those people who get paid by other peoples tax revenue of that minority.

The topic was about a bill for income tax. and it was clearly established that +-50 pays zero income tax they sure as hell do not pay tax on food, school, healthcare, and other "freebies".

You know everything else that evil "1 percent is".

We all know that's not gonna happen

Hell, when they looked at how to fund health care for 911 first responders...heros...they wanted to fund it by closing a tax loophole that allowed people to defer taxes indefinitely. Guess which party voted against that...every single one of them...THE GOP.

So on one hand you have them pretend to be patriots worshipping those heros...yet when it actually comes to helping out those people who ran into burning buildings without regard for their own life...guess what, all they got from the GOP is a giant "F*** YOU!!".

That's the GOP of today, a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate America. "For the people by the people" my ass
