Obama isn't just planning to bring in communism, HE is DOING IT everyday with every stroke of his pen. it doesn't matter if it is communism, socialism, because what it is, is all the bad things that America was started for, to GET AWAY FROM.. She is 100% correct. Business gets government loans, government contracts, government infrastructure, government tax breaks, government doing their research (pharmaceuticals for example). Most successful businesses wouldn't have the money they have now without the government, in fact often the government takes a loss from their leeching. For example the Forest Service made roads for logging companies in Alaska to buy and cut timber and made less on the sale than they spent on the roads.

Then Obama comes in and says "Government invented the internet, they put in the research so businesses then could make money off it".... ummm....... Government didn't invent a damned thing.

You're completely wrong. Government money is behind most useful technologies. The National Institutes of Health invent drugs and then let the drug companies have them for example. Military contractors get paid by the government to invent weapons, colleges invent lots of things with government funding and then the researchers start up companies to sell them.

You obviously don't know a damn thing about how this country works. There is no wealthy country in the world without big government except Hong Kong that I can think of.

It is interesting how people try to turn a fight against the global elite who do not pay there fair share in to a small business owner every body can relate to in order to try and change what the president is talking about. Is a small business owner the fat cat? Or is the global corporation board memebers the fat cats? Whos not paying there fair share of taxes? The global elite board of directors who pay no taxes and then put there money into institutions and think groups or even lobbyist in order to try and change things even more for themselves. How many small business owners have a lobbyist in there pocket or a think group doing what every they say? How many have secret bank accounts in other countries and lobby to sell government secrets to places like China who then sell the same secrets to Iran? How many small businesses have a foriegn subsidiary they can sell things to Iran through? Yes Cheny and Haliburton sold equipment to Iran. Koch Brothers sold equipment to Iran. They also were probly allowed to do that in order to sneal STUXnet virus into Iran. But Romney also sold equipment to Iran through Chna with Bain Capital Asia. And no thats not a small business like some company you know the owner of or where you worked. And how about Mitt Romneys account who is incharge of his overseas accounts. His law firm had two of there lawyers arressted and put in jail for insider trading on the Bain Account on weither they would be allowed to sell a US company to China. When the deal was shut down by Congress for classified information at the company could end up in the hands of China Mitts accountant and lawyers leaked the info to friends who tried to make up there losses by insider trading on the info from Mitt.

All these global elite are out for themselves at anybodies expense. They hold no respect for the country we live in. They think they are globalist and are above any single country. They try to divide countries by threatening and say they will simply move there money and themselves some where else. I say don't let the door hit you in the ass global elite. Rob some one else for a change I want my country back.

I don't know if most of you realize but taxes came along as a result of the federal reserve act and the money that is collected from us to pay those taxes is given to the federal reserve to pay the interest rates! all the monies that is used to build roads, fund federal workers, pay the representitives saleries is borrowed from abroad! This is a clear and definite violation of the constitution which has been voided since 1871 when the US government was incorporated! Since then the united states has been nothing but a corporate entity here to provide the war machine for the other two branches of the elitist pyramid, the english banking sector and the vatican religious control mechanism! Do your research and you will see how engrained the system of control is and has been for many centuries! The whole system needs to be torn down and restructured to represent a true democratic society and not the make believe republic that has for so long enslaved the masses! If we continue to allow this imbalanced circus of representative government to continue the greed and corruption will enevitably continue until all businesses are nationalized and controlled by the elitist heirarchy! There is nothing left to lose but the illusions of control that so many of us don't see but only united can we stand togeather to tear down this oligarchy and take back control of our lives! What "they" are trying to get the people to forget, is that without them, we could do all that # on our own. Hell, we would be creating jobs.
Can you imagine a system where as long as everyone worked we provided for eachother?
A carpenter could continuously build, a farmer continuously grow, a cook continuously cook, people who want to work labor outside could. We wouldn't have to wait for govt approval or funding, we just do it and share. Knowing that we need everyone doing what they are doing for the benefit of all...
Art, Music, even TV and Film, Entertainment, Science, Philosophy... nothing has to go away... we just stop using money and work a job we're passionate about. There's a place for all our interests. And for those that don't care what they do, as long as they are provided for, can fill in the gaps, with the invitation to change careers when they discover what it is they actually want to do. There are literally people who want to do every kind of job. Environmentalists who would love to help clean up. People who would want to collect recycling. I know people in my community right now who's entire freetime is spent picking up litter and making art with it. They aren't getting payed to do it. Imagine if they didn't have to go to their normal job, working for soley for the sake of money...
Sure, there would still need to be organization, and even rewards for those who deserve it, go the extra mile, rewards that don't hurt anyone like they do today, when a CEO gets millions for laying off hundreds...
We don't need the govt. We just need a system in place that allows everyone the opportunity to succeed in what they want to do. To find and work under teachers whom they will some day surpass, and whos students will then surpass them, so on and so forth, without discarding the old and undesirables. There is a place for everyone. The system in place today is a system set so a few men can literally do nothing, and at the same time, do anything. All play with no work and no punishment for it. Everyone works, not for money, but for passion. That should be the dream. No more telemarketing jobs selling crap NO ONE wants just to make a buck... or stock trading, where the only goal is to screw someone over... for money...
Hmmmm, maybe I'm dreamer... but I'm not the only one.

Did you forget taves were collected as a flat tax befor then? A flat tax on a per person basis. A tax that was being avoid by the Mormons and the slave owners. The slave owners said slaves are not people and can't be taxed. The mormons said I can't count all my wifes I will only pay taxes on one and her kids not any of the others. And a choice was made to go after the slave owners with the civil war and the mormons had laws passed against them and the Territory of Utah was taken from Bringham Young and the Mormon church and turned into a true government of people and not a Territory ran by your standing in the Mormon church. Taxes have allways been there. Don't let people make you believe they never collected before the income tax. The US Census Bureau was used to count people and tax the states or territories according to the number of people in the state or territory. A flat tax per person.

I completely agree with your larger point. I can't help but notice that almost every time he makes one of these "gaffes" he happens to be speaking "off prompter", meaning these aren't the focus group tested, sanitized words of his speech writers, pollsters and advisors. This is how he really feels but doesn't frequently express because his team knows it doesn't reflect the the way most americans think. Since his campaign team recently told reporters that they are relying less on the prompter,as of late, I can only guess how long it will take for his contempt for the private sector to seep through again. As far as the polarized state of D.C., I think a major contributing factor is the process of drawing district lines. Politicians of both parties draw these lines,sometimes in collusion with the other party, by looking at party affiliation spread-sheets to insure "safe" districts in which the majority of constituents agree with the politician's ideology. Because of this, there is little to no incentive,for politicians or the people, to compromise with an opposing point of view and extremism flourishes on both sides. That's why I registered as an Independent and encourage those that are registered as Democrats and Republicans to do the same. We should also push for reformed districting,(maybe a straight up grid system?) as opposed to the gerrymandering that is occuring now. Imagine a politician that can't draw districts, campaign or represent us according to what his or her spread-sheet says. They might actually have to represent all of their constituents in order to keep their jobs. Definitely not a solve-all and I'm sure there are some kinks in the idea but I think it's worth pondering

They may say they are all for freedom and liberty, but usually it is the left who seem to think they know what is best for you, me and everyone else. They feel that the individual is nothing, that only through dependence on the state can you accomplish anything.

I am going to try to tentatively to reply, as politics are often the hardest area in this site for me to not only try to grip my mind around, but keep a cool head too.

Now, I could have been taught wrong, but my father always said, that debt/taxes should never rise to the amount where the countries population cannot pay off it's debt levied upon it's citizens. This is where we are at with the federal reserve no? The debt is skyrocketed out of proportion with what the American people can pay back?

While I don't believe that anyone would disagree with needed reform in all three branches of the government, and yes they all need reform, that doesn't mean you have to tear it all the way down to build it aright again does it?

Is every business required to pay taxes? Yes. Do most businesses pay taxes? Yes. Do they employ people who then have money to pay taxes? Yes. What more do you want? The ones who don't pay either go to jail or never get punished because they're best buds with the past, current or future administration. If you think that big business isn't paying it's fair share, that's because you keep hearing about the criminal activities that never get punished by the Feds, because they're in bed together. Obama loves to bring up those big corporations not paying their fair share, but when it comes to prosecuting those who practice illegal tax evasion, he's not doing a damned thing about it. His regulations and taxation barely have any effect on big corporations, but they have a huge effect on the smaller businesses who can't afford expensive lawyers and bribes. All he's doing is eliminating competition for his best buds. Who loses? We do.
