A Brush With The Blue

oO0Thoughts Bubbles Bursting 0Oo

Here's why you do not have a story from me in this contest.
These are my thought bubbles listed below. :

1. I could write about ... oh, no, I can't write about that ... too many people will be hurt (outed).

2. I could write about ... oh, no, I can't write about that ... too many copy-cat pervs will act this out in real life on a new innocent victim just like the last perpetrator. Perps will get ideas they don't need to be getting.

3. I could write about ... oh, no, I can't write about that ... too many painful memories. Talking never helps anything. Bury the pain and it'll go away.

4. I could write about ... oh, no, I can't write about that ... too too too too too.

Okay, enough with the "toos" - whoo-a-whoo Toot TooT. High speed train just derailed a couple dozen ideas due to adjectives that are socially unacceptabale or 'negative'. Have to be positive! Positive? Are you sure about that? Chug-a-Chuga Whoo-a-Whoo! Derailed.

5. I could write about ... oh, no, I can't write about that ... oh wait, that would violate the ATS Terms of Service (Rules.) Good excuse!

6. I could write about ... oh, no, I can't write about that ... Nobody would believe it. "Pics or it didn't happen!" they'll say. No camera, no pics, no story.

And the funny thing is, we were always told to never say "never" or "can't". The Little Engine That Could. "I think I can, I think I can."

Oh noooooooo I can't!

Hope my reply is a good enough excuse and made somebody smile.

Here's mine. It's the first story I have written since primary school. I wish I had spent longer editing the grammer, but i did it over this weekend and I've been busy. Still. was a good exersise and I look forward to the next contest.

I agree - emotionally draining - and fascinating. I love reading all the contests, but this one has got me hooked. I've always been interested in people's real stories - no matter what they're about

This was a saying I was just sent. I felt it quite poignant to this competition and all those who have been brave enough to bring their most personal stories to the table.

We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.
But great moments often catch us unaware, beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

I think this sums up the quality of work so far very well.
