Please stop with the whole ''marriage is a way to keep or make wealth'' or ''it was used to keep women down''.It wasn't and isn't.

Oh and no one can run around freely. We all know what happens when mindless young girls get to have a say in something.

There is no such thing as religious freedom. You either go along with the whole point of it or you don't go along with it at all.

And, what is the "point of it" that we are supposed to go along with?

Do we know that? Fossil records indicate that everything came into existence at the same time, and likewise was also buried at the same time in a cataclysm. Interpreting the timeline is a very tricky thing and our dating techniques are not flawless, presuming they are even correct to begin with. It does not take several thousand years to make fossils. Fossils can be made in a hundred years. Before Adam and Eve fell time had not begun. Time began when death began at the fall, until then there was no cellular decay,. They could have lived who knows how many years before time as we know it began.

Here's a picture of a fossilized miners hat that was left underwater for 50 years. Doesn't take thousands or millions of years to create a fossil, just the right composition of elements.

Just how long ago do you think the "Garden of Eden" existed? We have volcanic records, that go back millions of years, that verify certain fossil remains' time lines. I thought the garden scenario took place about 6,000 years ago.

You might want to check out Slayer69's latest thread. It's about a volcanic eruption around 39,000 years ago, that scientist hypothesize may have driven the Neanderthal out of the western Mediterean area. His previous threads are also chalk full of evidence that deny your claim.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

A super-eruption of an Italian volcano that may have played a major role in the Neanderthals' fate was apparently even larger than thought, new research suggests.

For the new study, scientists investigated the Campi Flegrei caldera volcano in southern Italy. About 39,000 years ago, it experienced the largest volcanic eruption that Europe has seen in the last 200,000 years. This super-eruption may have played a part in wiping out or driving away Neanderthal and modern human populations in the eastern Mediterranean

Oh yeah, one more question, was the Ice Age before or after Noah's flood?

Prove to me a primitive Neanderthal man ever existed...

And your comparison to animals and humans is just slightly disturbing.

This is true. Marriage is from The Pagans.
Christianity adapted it and then banned it for gay people.

All the oldest symbols in the world are Egyptian, Sumarian, Celtic, and African have all pre dated Christian symbolism by thousands of years.

All you manage to do is portray yourself as a knee jerk reactive Christian.

This is why it is so funny when creationists try to use science to back up their claims.

It isn't a fossil, it a hat with a calcium carbonate coating, which is a quick forming stone.

Basically it is the same if you have a lot of minerals in your tap water and you get a nice, crusty coating on the outside of your tap.

A fossil the cells are actually replaced, by NON calcium carbonate minerals. As opposed to a coating.

And even if it doesn't take millions of years to create a fossil, it doesn't mean it takes a short amount of time to create all fossils, or that it debunks that fossils exist.

This whole thread is just another excuse to take a dig at men/ christians/ etc

To all guys out there who are younger and looking to start a family: study your woman carefully. Read the responses here. It's another layer of proof as to why marriages are failing.
Money and status dominates females headspace.

Btw pagan is such a sloppy term.. But I guess in context, you're just taking shots at whatever you hate today.

Some of you post as if christianity is so barbaric, yet your beloved "pagan" religions of the past openly practised slavery, witch craft, human sacrifices etc.
You should really drop the "pagan" label and get more specific because otherwise it makes you look like a lucy liu or just anti christian.
Islam is based heavily on "paganism" too. Maybe you guys should unite again, like in ww2

If anything, some females use marriage to steal money by using laws against men. It's sad how messed up society is right now.

I think the concept of Marriage was not necessarily Pagan, but rather was invented as a way to meld two factions together by marrying children of the two. Case in point. In Medieval Times, if a King, or Queen wished to make a peace, or a covenant with another King, or Queen, a son, or daughter would be chosen, and offered in marriage to the offspring of the other. The Church handled these affairs.

Pagans of today do not have traditional marriage, what we have is Handfasting. A couple who wishes to be married in a Wiccan or Pagan ceremony, is "Handfasted." A Handfasting is not a legally binding ceremony, and traditionally either member of the couple may choose to end the partnership at any time. More and more Wiccan and Pagan clergy are becoming licensed ministers (myself inclusive) It is not uncommon for same-sex Pagan couples to celebrate a handfasting as well. Handfasting itself is not legally binding, but a contract of Common Law Marriage between two people can be brought to bear. My wife and I are Handfasted, and have such a contract. A State Marriage is is a contract between the couple and the State, and a Right is turned into a Privilege, and a fee is charged. The State then has rights over your children through CPS.

Actually, Christianity and Islam are more similar to each other than compared to any other religion.

Pagan is an umbrella term, which is any non judeo religion. So any religion pre-dating Christianity is going to be pagan.

So the term is accurate.

Stop looking like a fool.

Marriage. as the cornerstone of the family framework, is very much at the heart of Christian principals which in turn takes the notion of marriage to the nth degree in the form of the spirit and the bride.

Why because some secular scientists say so? You have blind belief they are older than 6000 years.
