This video on the site was already linked, and its an article in support of him. And they certainly do like to marginalize and discredit all alternative sites, the one in question IS VERY GOOD OVERALL!

So once again, listen to the farmer!

The issue of what is strictly feral versus wild is brought up by the farmer interveiwed as well, and that the ones like he is using, bought from Russia and hardy in cold climates, outdoors which is how he runs his operation, happy and very domesticated, were domesticated and farmed since before biblical times.

Let's not forget that pork futures speculation is a valuable commodity - and those who currently horde the "legit" type of pork will surely do very well as soon as the street price of bacon goes up.

Once again, it would be invaluable to be able to trace the fluctuations in the price of this commodity, which investment firms make a killing and which congressional and senatorial [airquotes] representatives [/airquotes] or which political party coffer finds their net worth increased by a corresponding amount.

Clearly this is not limited to Michigan, nor will it remain an issue within the few states who are professing to be "ready to pounce" on the matter.

Interestingly, the 'establishment' will be able to claim the moral high ground int he name of environmental conservation...which somehow translates to "profit" for some, and "ruin" for the others... "the others" being the one's that don't matter as they are not part of the commercial combine that inserted their minions into the regulatory process via the usual political-appointment revolving-door.

If you want to attach names or identities to the true actors in this effort.... watch for who leaves government for jobs in the industry shortly after this hits the market. They will be welcomed by their corporate overlords with open arms and claims of glory.

I don't see them trying to differentiate thier descriptions and traits they don't make any distinction of domestic vs feral except by trait and as little as just one. Why do you think these farmers are up and arms? Cause they like having to fight government? The descriptions obviously give government free rain to declare your hogs feral if they have even a single trait

Identification may include use of one or more of the following characteristics (Mayer and Brisbin 2008):

They only need one trait to be identified as feral. That is ridiculous. This is a clear cut attack on family farms and I find your poor attempt to discredit Natural News quite disingenuous at best.

Exactly government regulation designed to do what it does best: protect and secure markets for politically connected corporate cronies and stamp out any potential competition! This is what the marxist/socialist/fascists want more of in every aspect of society. This is the essence of so called government security... Sigh! Follow the money...

I was getting a pig every year from a friend who was raising them. He raised about 6 pigs and the cost incured from the six was split between the four he sold. He got two pigs for his time and gas. He fed them the better quality feed without going totally organic and tried not to feed them much bread. It was great tasting pork with little fat. Better than the commercial crap a person gets from the store. He quit growing them about five years ago because people were complaining the cost was getting high. I never complained, the pork was so much better than store bought.

I wish I could buy some of that pork from these pigs, I'll have to see if I can find a farmer around here. I'de like to taste what my ancestors tasted. I think there's one up by Chassell somewhere.

The government wants everybody dependant on them for their food. They say they are managing the deer herd here but I think they are doing the opposite. They need to get rid of the Doe permits for awhile or we'll all be at the mercy of the commercial markets. I like my neighbors the deer as well as the neighbors I presently have. The deer are our friends and in an emergency I will eat these friends. Beats eating people.

Beyond Fencesitter, did anyone else read the document?

If these folks were harboring illegal aliens, you'd be all for running those folks (workers and farmers) out on a rail, but since this is killing an invasive species you're all for the farmers? Really? Why? Because the pigs aren't from Mexico?

Feel free to read about the crop destruction from farmers caused by the feral hogs, it is rife in the actual agricultural news areas.

Last I checked, the invasive strains of feral hogs are in 23 states and a huge number of those states allow year round hunting of the species due to the destruction of crops, ecosystems, property and putting a huge strain on native species. Personally I'd love to go hog hunting we my American Bulldog, it is what she was MADE for!

I wouldn't mind having a Feral Pig in my garden, I like pork. If the farmers pig comes on my land I now have possession. I would warn the farmer the first time it happens and tell him he owes me some pork for my damage. but will also tell him I will shoot it if he can't keep it from being in my garden. It is suitable replacement for my crops. People are responsible for their animals if they choose to keep them. I will not complain if a neighbor has animals if they aren't bothering me, they have rights also. If they are raising animals that are a threat to my family's safety that is different and I will attempt to use the laws to make sure adequate precautions are in effect.

Hasn't everyone figured out yet that TPTB are in fact trying to incite riots, civil war, and outright anarchic rebellion in this country? Why else would they do something as blatantly-fascist as this? Why else would TSA agents be told that they have to grope children and people in wheelchairs? The instant people start fighting back against law enforcement, we're all headed into FEMA concentration camps. They will NOT, and cannot, start that until We the People give them an excuse. If we "force them into it," they'll be able to tell the rest of the world they were just defending themselves. If *they* start it, though, the whole world will turn against America's government as being just as repressive and fascist as any that's ever existed, which it of course is, but not overtly (one quarter of ALL prisoners in the world are Americans). All of these incidents are goading, pure and simple. The more outrageous their minions are with these ridiculous laws, the more they make the minions make us put up with, the more they turn law enforcement against us and annoy us with the TSA, the closer they get to achieving their goal: America's covertly-engineered destruction. It's *vital* to them that the world in general never realizes just how instrumental they were in making it happen. You have to really peer into the issue to see how obvious their manipulations are, and the ends towards which they're working. It's a very long, intricate secret plan... and it's almost complete.

Because they are being idiots. This is no conspiracy, it's just people trying to accentuate their careers, trying to make their job look necessary. Ever work in a place where they put in a new straw boss trying to prove himself or a new inspector that goes overboard not realizing they are screwing everything up. At least they eventually learned or the owner got rid of them because they saw the problems. I think they have been watching too many Trump shows.

You miss the point entirely. These idiots are targeting family farmers raising domestic pigs by declaring them feral based on as little as a single trait. Did you watch the video? those hogs are not feral. Feral hogs have been around for over a century or more. They are nothing new and the farmers and hunters have been taking care of them for that long too. I have hunted feral hogs. It is not an out of control problem and has been dealt with the same way for decades. However these beauroRats now want to come and check domestic herds and kill them if they deem them feral according to their whim and arrest and jail the farmers.

Actually this is a conspiracy. Its control of Food and Codex Alimentarius, and taking away land from people and Farms and the rest the time they use technology to destroy the Farms and Community with tornados, HAARP, a big land grab.

My family has been raising pigs in southeast Michigan for many years. It sounds like they are only wanting to accept pink only pigs. Almost every pig that we have ever grown would fit the category of Fearal by their standards. That means alot of pigs would have to be killed. We will not stand for the government coming in and telling us how to farm. No way No how. They can go pound sand if they think for one second that they will be able to come on our property and kill our livestock. We would consider that an attack on our freedom and we will retaliate if need be.

They want to take away the right of the small scale farmer to provide their own food. If they want to curtail the wild hog problem then they should sponser hunts all through out the year and give the meat to those who need food. We need the meat from our pigs. It is how we survive on a lower income. We also grow our own vegetables. Next they will try to outlaw that as well.

Us small scale farmers are under attack here in Michigan. The day that they come and try to kill someones livestock is the day that civil unrest/war breaks out here in Michigan. The Michigan DNR used to be looked at as a good thing here but now it seems they have fallen into the same trap as every other government agencie. This just really grinds my gears. So DNR go ahead and try to come kill our livestock and see what happens you evil morons.

The farmers who are experiencing crop damage have the right to go out and shoot the hogs, without a permit even. When whitetail deer cause crop damage you must obtain a permit to kill them out of season. With hogs you can kill them anytime of the year with no permit. In fact it is encouraged that all hunters shoot wild hogs when they see them out in the woods. It is the farmers responsibility to care for his crops and that includes preventing crop damage from any species.
