Some posters just have to throw their Obama hate into every thread.

You could be talking about a cute puppy - - and they'd find a way to relate it to how much Obama sucks (in their opinion).

Oh Look! Santorum's name is right there in the title. This thread is about Santorum - - - Not Obama.

Everything is about Obama....

Everything.

Yes, even that.

I think things in the animal kingdom are programmed to enjoy the act of procreation,

I love it when people throw this card out there.

Most of the time on every other subject matter, people will argue how we're superior to animals until someone mentions sex, then, suddenly, we're animals again.

Take rabbits for example. Everyone believes the typical stereotype that all rabbits do is have sex. This is not true. I have three free range rabbits. Two males and one female. The female is bonded to only one male. When they were still reproducing, the male participated in the rearing and never ever tried to mount one of the babies. The female will usually reject the male's advances 8 out of 10 times. The male that's bonded to her will always chase the other male away. When I had another female, he always stuck with the female he was bonded to. He never strayed to the other female.

From my observations, animals seem to have more respect for monogamy than humans do.

Slightly off topic, but I agree about the psychology field promoting a gimmick of addiction in a way.

A few years ago, no one was addicted to sex, porn, video games, texting. Now all sorts are coming out of the woodwork.

I have a hard time feeling sympathy for a person addicted to something that, when they quit doing it for a period of time, has absolutely no negative affect on them at all.

You bring up a valid point, which is indeed probably the scariest part of this all.

Many Americans are religious extremists who wish for mankind to cover himself completely and not speak of sex in the open.

Honestly, I don't want to vote myself because I will just be voting for the lesser of evils, but then again, why let my vote go to waste against the more-so of evils?

Tough thing to decide

Another thing - I don't think Obama has been any better or worse than any other President. He's done some positive things, but the negative outweighs them. All he has done is carry on the Bush Administration's legacy. Nothing more, nothing less.
edit on 17-3-2012 by GreenEyedVixen because: (no reason given)

Way I see it

Obama has done positive (ask a gay in the military, ask Osama (might need a ouija board), ask a factory worker at GM, ask etc...

My biggest issue is Obama's failures..be it broken promises, or blocked by the republicans.

I think his second term will sort out many more of his promises..I also suspect the dems will once again enjoy 2 years of a supermajority.

And finally
I would rather have 4 more years of Obama's broken promises, than 4 years of the conservatives kept promises.

I guess if a person did want to watch that kind of porn, then having to go to a store to purchase it could limit their ability to view it.

So, maybe we're getting closer to the fact that this is an embarrassing enjoyment.
People would rather have access to violent porn through the internet, so they don't have to be red faced buying it in a store.

How is this guy basically the frontrunner for conservatives?

THIS.

He isn't - Ron Paul is. It's just that the GOP and MSM have led you to believe otherwise.

Conservatism is defined by the people who shape conservatism, not by the ideas in your
head. This is conservatism, while Ron Paul is a small portion of it.

The delegate count has Santorum as the true conservative leader.

He may join forces with Newt. When you add up their combined delegates then

Romney is in trouble.

Rev Wright is a religious extremist who advocates Black Liberation Theology which is Christianity just for blacks, like BET channel. Only it's based on Marxist theory, so it's Marxist infiltration of the Church designed to promote the welfare state and create race and class warfare.

Yes, you know this because Hannity told you.
Ever bneen to a Baptist church? They are all full of hot air like this.

Obama had to distance himself from his long time rev because it was out in the open where he was spending his Sundays. (albeit asleep, but nevertheless it's obvious both Michelle and O subscribe to the same philosophy).

Ahh, so Obama is a closet crazy Baptist..

Don't forget he attended that Madrassa in Indonesia too.

Ahh, so Obama is a crazy Muslim..
Wait..you lot are not making sense...decide what form of crazy religious zealot he is one and for all.

(this just in, many believe he is also waging war on religion in general...so..he is a crazy atheist muslim baptist...)

Oh yes, as for your little quip about religious extremists wanting everyone to cover themselves and not speak openly about sex, you got the wrong freaking religion here, that wasn't Christianity, it was an offshoot of a few hundred years later....

history books disagrees with you. But thats cool..you probably have a time machine (question...is it in fact in a hot tub?)

but it's really odd how feminists hate Christians so much

It is sad that Feminists cannot be christian. I read that rule...weird.

but don't mind the idea of Sharia Law coming to the States.

Well, they teach you that in Feminism 101 class. Sharia law is awesome...

Sometimes I wonder if some people on ATS are forgetting to take their meds...

I don't understand the dichotomy in those people's minds. Yet somehow you have transferred all that to the Christian church.

By the way, you should see some of the stuff younger women are wearing to church these days, it would make the sloppy soccer moms blush.

Perhaps I should re-find religion. Time to check out the local church.

Most of that first paragraph was a joke, but yes, I think there are many people who are embarrassed by watching porn. Or are at least embarrassed by who might find out. Most people also wouldn't want their grandma knowing the kinds of things they do on their marital bed that is perfectly legal. It's your business, so it should stay your business.

I don't know why being embarrassed about something should equate to it being made illegal though. There are all sorts of things that some people are embarrassed to buy in public for various reasons - condoms, tampons, etc. Doesn't mean they should be embarrassed or that the products should be made illegal.

Why should I have to go to a store to buy my crazy violent porn, yet you should be able to watch what you deem okay in the privacy of your own home with no one having to know? If it is illegal already (like child porn) then really crack down on the sites that still host it. But if it's two consenting adults and legal, well, that's not really the govt's place to force their ideas/laws on anyone.

You should stick to topics you are familiar with, like Marxism. I suppose you think the MSM is totally unbiased as well.

Really? He has more delegates than everyone combined:

elections.nytimes.com...

Only 4 more southern states to go. Also I don't see any of the other winning the big states like NY and Calf.

Romneys performance at CPAC was despicable.

Every time he said the word - conservative - everyone rolled their eyes.

Santorums strategy is bizarre.

California is bizarre.

I have no idea what in world is going to happen out there.

Maybe they should split the state into 2 parts.

That way half of the state would be saved.

If he really wants to make a difference, he should go for legislation prosecuting pedophile priests. The Catholic church doesn't seem to want to do it.

If that happened, you know the right would spin it to "Obama declares war on the Church" or some such tripe.

(oops, skimmed...thought you meant Obama should...Ya, Rick would never go against the church on any issue)

Well, RINO's are not for small govt. If they were they wouldn't be promoting things like RomneyCare. Don't worry though liberal Democrats are not for small govt either, they just want Big Govt in a different way, they want universal healthcare and global climate change taxes, they want us all driving electric cars, and no homemade lunches for our kids at school.
