Officers Injured After Rally Gets Out Of Control At State Capitol

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — At least two law enforcement officers were injured during a clash with members of the Occupy movement who were at the state Capitol to protest a rally by a pro-white group.

The clash erupted about 3 p.m. Monday as California Highway Patrol and Sacramento city police officers were escorting about 35 members of the South Africa Project to a parking garage following their protest outside the Capitol building.

No problem, I just thought this was odd for some reason. A guy going around in a captain America costume claiming the Occupy movement, I'm not sure if I believe hes being completely legit. Just doesn't seem like what I thought the Occupy movement was all about, then again everyone has their own different version of what its about.

Why did they go to protest the other protestors? Since when was Occupy about race?

Yes this just happened.

Apparently it was an organized event by about 50 Occupy Oakland members to join with a group of Occupy Sacramento members.

I don't have a lot of details about who specifically organized this rally / protest. It seems to be a fringe group though and not a normal Occupy strategy. I posted links to both the Occupy Sacramento and Occupy Oakland's websites. I'm trying to find out more info on who, why and when this was organized.

I've just checked out their site, and they provide no data, no evidence, no statistics of anything.

I'm sorry, but this is nothing more than a racist white supremacist group using individual events and crimes (of which could be against anyone) as an excuse to justify their racial intolerance.

Anyone who knows any of the history of South Africa knows that right-wing white supremacy groups are a problem in the country, and this is just another example of that.
