But pita is a bread

Why does bread get upset?

Having dealt with similar things... A "charlie horse" sometimes indicates a lack of potassium in the blood, try eating a couple of bananas and maybe an avocado (no joke).

But...If you know your "K" (potassium) is "OK", then:

Breathe in through your nose slowly, and exhale slowly through the mouth; appreciate the air you are breathing in and how good that is; try to visualize that with each exhale you are releasing the tension in your muscles, one group at a time. Try to tune out all other things, like TV etc. Just concentrate on breathing in and out, slowly releasing that tension with each exhale. With each inhale, think about how good it feels to breathe, and with each exhale allow the release of tension; concentrate on parts of the body that you will release the tension from. One at a time.

Don't let anything or anyone disturb you during the process... especially TV.

I paid good money for this technique 30 yrs ago, hope it works for you!

I know I'm low in potassium. But we don't have any bananas and my medications won't work well with vitamins. I'm already on a muscle relaxant and extra pain killers. My doctor made sure to comfort me. Now my kitten is comforting me by hanging out on my arm

Wanted you to know that you did, indeed, pick the right place to go for support. I posted about a problem a few weeks ago and was absolutely amazed at the outpouring.

The ATS community is unmatched anywhere in the world.

So, get well, do it quickly, and if you need a friend (s), we are here.

As a side note, you should know that I can't wait for my 11 year old son to let me have my laptop back so I can actually see the videos you have been sent. They look great, I think. Hopefully you will understand how badly I wanted to offer my support when you realize it took about 6 weeks this evening to write to you on my son's 1/2 inch mini-laptop with microscopic keys that us old folks can't really see.

Good luck, and when you get better we can all cheer others on as we find them in need here at ATS.

As a suggestion, I have had serious back problems since II was in my teens, I'm now 51. My guess is you don'drink enough water. You would be amazed at how much your back is tied to your kidneys. HYDRATE! Ivan garentee it will help.

I went to the doctor to get checked. The nurse told me they would need a urine, stool and semen sample. I said, "Couldn't I just leave my underwear?"

I want to get a glass of water but it hurts to get up.
Before today I was drinking tea by the gallon. I miss that.

Yes!, the kitty is a great relief. The best IMO. I use mine constantly, as she uses me.

But, let me know how the breathing/relaxing technique goes, as it was very effective for me. If you don't mind...?

Breathing works but not as much as it should since that's the exact same technique I use to help relieve my panic attacks. Normally I'm immune to pain but this time I can't stop it with my normal technique.
