I currently have a muscle spasm in my back. Basically it's a Charlie horse for your back. It was induced by stress and is incredibly painful. I can not walk, I can not sleep unaided, I can not sit up, I can not shower as it hurts too much. Problem is, I have a pretty bad case of OCD so I'm always stressed. The real OCD, too. Not the fake one. I just need people to chat with to help myself unwind. So hello ATS, how are you today?

I'm sorry to hear you're in such discomfort. But hopefully this thread and some conversation will take your mind off of it.

Hang in there!

I am sorry to hear about your back, I know how you feel about being bed ridden for an extended length of time. The only thing I can think of suggesting to you is perhaps get a netflix membership. There are some great shows on there that can help make time fly by. Not sure about your feelings on History channels Ancient Alien series but they have seasons 1 and 2 on netflix, I love the series.

You made the right choice by coming here, the ATS community is great when one of its members need some support. They were here me and my wife when tragedy struck me a few weeks ago. If anything can help you out we can, thats for sure.

Not much of a chatter, but hopefully this will lift your spirits.

Did you see that cat walk on water?

My favourite conspiracies are the FEMA camp ones and the strange noise ones. I don't check medical conspiracies much because of my OCD. I get freaked out. However I enjoy reading medical news then researching it. I usually wind up looking at a conspiracy.

I wish I enjoyed country music to make this video seem unwanted.
I appreciate you caring enough to reply, though

I have the same problem.
I recommend logging off ATS for a bit -- it's not exactly the best place to relieve stress.

Go to ITunes Radio -- Ambient section -- Drone Zone channel
I usually pop a couple aspirin or ibuprofen and lay in bed and slowly stretch this way & that.
I let my body guide me to where the kinks are.
This has been my daily routine for about a year & a half... but it works.
Yoga is great too but i recommend stretching for a while in bed first.

a few "silver lining" thoughts to lessen your misfortune ..............

Your shoes will last longer (day for day trade off) along with your socks
Also, Your rugs won't get as messed up, unless you are having alot of visitors (they can get annoying!).
Your saving on gas and wear and tear on your car, plus not tickets or road rage incidents.
Your gaining a deeper understanding of all the details in your ceiling,
you are not risking a sunburn, wind burn or frost bite
A bird won't poop on you,
My brain just went blank so that's all for now.......

I spent months living, eating, sleeping on my sofa recovering from severly fractured leg.
I'm feeling your plight my friend, Me being ADHD didn't help

Please keep in mind that the longer you take the pain meds. the easier it is to get depressed, the less effective they become and the greater your risk to become addicted.
Be as mobile and mentally active & engaged as possible. This will help combat depression, muscle atropy and the anxiety that comes along with our shared OCD/HDHD personalities.

Heres to a speedy recovery
