Someone ought to tell the daily mail that one of their articles isn't true.

For more entertainment, check out the "reporter" who put this story together, Michael Zennie

Its fundamentally clear that what he does for a living is find weird and silly youtube videos, and write "news" stories about them.
Some of them may indeed be true, but he probably doesnt care one way or the other.

Reason to be psychologically evaluated and if need be, terminated.

You feel sorry for him? It's not as if he's chucking a wobbly at a tree.

Ahh but none the less, treat the end result and not the cause. Cut off what now?

Yeah, I've seen this video on the site before. It's actually kinda old, so no new viral cop info going out from this post.

What makes me wonder though, is how this video got out in the first place. It's from the cop's own dash cam and I wouldn't imagine the PD would be interested in posting it. I guess the driver requested it, and then put it up.

Yes here is the Video from Aug, 2011.

Rather old and I hate to be the guy that says there's already a thread on this cause I hate those comments.

The media rehashing the story is strange to me though. Maybe to plant seeds of dissent?

Lmao, you mean to say he's a thug and a bully?

I'll agree to that!

if he had probable cause, he wouldn't be asking.

this has more to do with questioning his authority than actual law enforcement. you can't search his car, o.k., have a nice day and continue patrolling.

that's the police force of a civilized society.

Thats pretty funny, and the truth is that most cops would love to respond this way, because it goes to the depths of their souls to have to subject themselves to someone Else's authority, when they think they are in control

The new questions they ask when pulled over, is if you have illegal drugs, guns ,explosives and child pornography, they want to cover all the bases so they can really make you feel uncomfortable, but you still have the right to deny them access unless they get that warrant and bring those dogs out after they spray your vehicle with THC then tow your vehicle in and they proceed to rip out your interior and plant crap on you.

cops are worse than child predators in my opinion and should be treated as such

Mmm k.

So if the video is fake we still have one of two situations...

Either someone is sitting on the side of the road in a car specifically outfitted to resemble a cop car... With someone specifically dressed to resemble a cop... Which isn't exactly legal... Even if it's a joke.

Or we have a nice waste of taxpayers money if it's a real cop and one of his buddies.

I don't know about other states but we had a rapist impersonating a cop, and we don't take this stuff too casually around here.

Absolute abuse of "power"

Accountability is crucial if they expect us to respect the badge.

Regrettably accountability is rare when it comes to law enforcement.

This has already been shown to be a hoax...so why are people still commenting like its the real deal?

I am confused now...is it not a hoax?

I think the evidence provided was pretty clear that it is!

Wait...."abuse of power"??

The officer does nothing except use foul language.

Exercising his "freedom of speech", if you will......(LOL).

Of course, the possibility of this having been staged is very strong.......what Law Enforcement Officer would "forget" about his Dash-Cam and mic????

What ever sells papers, they know their audience. Knee jerkers of the world united!

one thing which I was wondering, just as a bit of a side thought really, but if the cops who made this video were cops, as it seems they were.....I was wondering if they got in trouble for it, like for using police equiptment for something other than police work, or making the department look bad. And would they have gotten in more trouble than if the video was real.....(if you get what I mean)

edit. I love the fact that the daily mail chose to use this video, from a profile user with the name of "wakeupandlegaliseit" what with their anti drug stance. They could have chosen any number of usernames, but no.. Double fail....finish him!!

No, his actions were unprofessional. When you put on that uniform, you need to hang your attitude up in that locker (you can pick it back up when your shift is over).

If you cant keep a cool head in a situation like that, it make me worry (and fear for your partners), how you will react to a serious situation.

This was nothing more than a simple traffic stop.

People complain that the police are dehumanized but here you are expecting them to act like robots. The guy could be going through some personal stuff and although i agree it was unprofessional, he's human and these things happen.

He could be a good cop but this one incident is enough to write him off? Hell, Give him and ME a break!

Your so right, being a public servant isnt stressful at all. Hell, lets "terminate" him shall we? Whats the point even TRYING to understand his situation? He's a cop for god's sake, SCUM OF SOCIETY!!!

/end sarcasm.
