If all is one, why is there duality?

Good question - the answer has to do with time and causality - in forwards we eat and we enjoy, in reverse we are uneating and taking away energy. Duality is seeing on both sides of the present - what we are about to do, and what we have done.

One is a whole. There's a half to every whole. This would mean there has to be a dichotomy.

In my opinion, Our ability to create or destroy, yin and yang, positive/negative are false dichotomies. They overlap and intermingle too much. they are in chaos and turmoil; giving a little and taking a little. They will always remain separate yet together.

The universe can never be one or two, only an irrational number (π, Φ) continuously in flux.

Oneness and dualism will not work. It's chaos out there

no by definition a whole dont know half, what is a whole is same in absolute terms resolutions of each its parts points allowing it to b present whole fact, there cant b two present especially in a same whole, that is why it becomes objectively only looking as one bc one present only
