Incidentally - why would the CIA want to take down the worlds largest human database that is facebook?

Anonymous is a supporter of wikileaks. The CIA hate wikileaks. Anonymous are revealing the private information of corrupt politicians, bankers, lawyers, etc - The CIA back these people.

Unless you can provide some solid proof of anonymous being the CIA, i'm going to take the side of reason, logic and sanity and say no.... anonymous are not the CIA.

Cheers

Too much imagination and attraction to conspiratorial intrigue.

Not enough reason or evidence.

You hit the nail on the head here, ive felt that for a while now, " Luke dont its a trap, ITS A TRAP!"
As i am writing this i am reading about protesters getting more violent accross the nation, Denver to Oakland to DC, trying to storm the capital in Denver. Its all falling into place as if it were a gradual escalation policy leading to a culmination.
Buy Food
Store Water
Buy Silver coins
Buy Ammo
Fill the gas cans
Be Ready, and if im wrong well you have supplies its a no brainer.

On that occasion, I'd have to say it's reverse psychology.
Especially seeing as who the owner of FB is now...

A few things i do not agree with.

First i believe that OWS is a legitimate protest movement.. how would crippling the central banking system be in favour of the elite?

And secondly OWS is being used by the government as an excuse to possibly get towards martial law.

I do not believe that the whole protest from day 1 and the original brainstormers behind the occupy ideas were created by the government... that one i think is a little over the top.

But the rest i completely agree.

Not trying to pick a fight or anything, but you do realize that your second statement kind of contradicts your first.

The goal is kind of one on the same. Collapse the current system to institute their own.
"Their" being OWS and the current Govt.

I'm not sure why that contradicts itself... maybe i worded it wrong?.

The government did not "create" the OWS protest movement because they rely too much on the banking system. This is what OWS is about. Why would they create a movement based on crippling themselves.

Saying the gov create the protest is, as i said, over the top.

But the fact that the government seem to be "using" the protests to their advantage is what i agree with. Now that the cops are somewhat being urged to attack protesters with tear gas, grenades, and rubber bullets... The government are using this to their advantage to create martial law (eventually).

Sort of like saying, "we told you to play nice" coming from the government... and making it easier for them to abuse human rights, because that's what they do.

Not going to dispute the possibility of that - but you only have to go on to the IRC's and listen to the chatter. Also don't forget that there's a huge swathe of internet, besides facebook. If what they say is true (which i don't believe, i'm sure the anon vs fb was debunked or a hoax - but i may be wrong) then taking down one social networking site won't change much besides pissing off a few people and making a point.

There's a huge internet out there. Facebook might be big, but it's not that big.

If the CIA want to disrupt communications then they'd have to remove 4chan, twitter, google, youtube, myspace and all other info hubs. This won't happen. This is counter-productive to anonymous too. Anon are all about making a point.

IF Obama uses his internet killswitch (which i also think he won't do) THEN you'd have riots.

Yeah this is very original and all, except the protesters for the most part are remaining nonviolent. Banks losing money or people's facebook accounts being hacked is not enough to impose martial law. If all of the protests had a national "start a riot" day, then maybe that would be a different story.

If they really want to do that, and I'm not saying they don't, they don't need real protesters. They can just hire all the fake ones they need plus there's always a bunch of igmos that see a line, and want to get in it.

The fact that the progressive socialist have worked for this control for the past 100 years would say your call is just good common sense and reasoning mixed with a good dose of logic."THEY" are not going to go quietly and only makeing up 24% of the U.S. population they need somebody to do there dirty work.

This is a lot deeper then just the U.S.,we are the last move in a very large agenda. If you reduce this world situation to its lowest common denominator and put yourself in "THERE" place .............................what would you do,how would you do it???

It is a theory that is entirely plausible, but it is not reason enough to get off the streets. The rich CEO's and the people who want WWIII are one in the same - better to raise awareness of the issue and cause Americans to start waking up, which OWS is doing - at least from my view, many of my Facebook friends are getting really into it, people who I didn't think cared about politics, which is great.

"They", if they are going to impose martial law, will find a way to do it no matter what we do. We might as well go down kicking and screaming and give them a run for their money (literally!) Force them to work to install martial law rather than give it straight to them by docilely walking off the streets!

Nope not gonna happen.
Martial law cannot be imposed until guns are outlawed.

Gun owners outnumber the military in the US by about 20 to 1.
There are more REGISTERED gun owners in GA,TX and WI than any 3 nations have troops.

Preach all the fear you want.
This thread is all about specultaion without thinking.

A Japanese General once said:
" No country will ever invade the US becaue they have a man with a rifle behind every blade of grass."

That includes a corrupt government.

Don't let the mainstrean fool you into thinking Martial Law is comming, and convince you to back down.
It won't happen as long as we have the right to bear arms.

Who cares? Every anti-establishment movement is some false flag trap according to ATS. I'm done reading about it.

There's always a dissenting group on ATS who thinks EVERYTHING is a conspiracy. Just sad, ego maniacs who need to feed their own ego by putting themselves above everybody else and into a select few who "know better" than the rest of us

It's pathetic really. Half of ATS would rather everyone sat around and copped every injustice because "hey, don't do that, you'll incite x and y, leaving to the removal of freedom z, derpity derp"

The OP is the type of person who'd rather you stood in the corner taking your beatings with a smile because defending yourself might anger the bully. The type of man to play dead in a fight to avoid a genuine beating.

A true derp merchant

Do you know what would make this thread funnier? After everyone is done bashing the thread owner, we find out that there really is some sort of conspiracy. Now that would be funny.

FB is a dream come true to TPTB. That's why GS bought it.
They're fear mongering that it will be closed down which makes its users support it more, as though it's their right to 'freedom of speech'.
This is just child's play control tactics.
Shame that the sheeple buy whatever they're sold.
After all, how many times has FB announced more and more intrusive and highly questionable privacy violations yet no one leaves.
What most ATS users don't get is that the vast majority of people don't think like them. They don't even want to think like them. They want a nice, easy life with material goods and if that means a little more police presence and governmental intrusion then they'll just have to put up with it. That IS what the majority think.
Just ask them. They don't want a revolution. Anyone with kids would have extreme doubts about a group of college kids and unemployed starting a revolution in their best interests.
It's sad but true that the sheeple want X Factor and a new, shiny car and whatever else crap they've been told is cool.
We're not called conspiracy theorists for nothing.
In fact, just look at how many people on here dribble on about how super one politician is or another. That's the biggest joke.

Your theory may turn out to be right. It certainly doesn't deviate from history.

But what else can people do?

Vote for pre-screened, ruling class-approved stooges in rigged, sham elections?
Write letters to political representatives who couldn't care less about anyone but their largest campaign contributors?
Rant on the internet?

Maybe there is no option other than conflagration.

For years, those who paid attention were shocked by the fact that, no matter how egregious the crimes of the few, the masses could not be pulled away from their deluded bubbles long enough to notice. Well now they are noticing, and you are telling them to go back home and shut up?

Wouldn't unchecked corruption (like we've seen in recent years) be worse than conflict in the long run?

After much thought, I agree that it could be a trap. Nothing happens unless tptb wants it to.

I support the protesters and why people are protesting, yet I do think there are an awful lot of odd happenings and strange coincidences going on here. ie: ex military trying to incite violence, strange and very profound psychological effects being experienced by some protesters, etc...

They got the crowds on the street just like they wanted, now all they have to do is:

1) Incite violence with provocateurs, then declare Martial Law.

2) Create larger crowds and more protestors, then declare Martial Law.

Either way, it's lose /lose.

In early November (5th to 11th) a major false flag event could occur, and as a result another reason to declare martial law: the system crashes.

They want Martial Law real bad, and it's looking almost inevitable.

Go get your your gun and your bullhorn and storm Capitol Hill now.
I guarantee that people will follow you.
Kick start the revolution!
No?
Parks and placards are much safer, aren't they? None of that nasty Che Guevara stuff.... maybe you'll even get to appear on a chat show and get your 15 minutes of fame telling the audience that 'you were there'.

What was it Patrick Henry said again? "Give me Liberty or give me cheaper iphone Apps?"

Again, I agree with you regarding people wanting a distracting, comfy life. But this is not to say that anonymous exists as an entity OUTSIDE of tptb. If you agree we are programmed to desire facebook and such, and that we're all sheeple - then what about the notion that tptb want us to think that anonymous belongs to them, so people don't put too much faith in anonymous. That could be the real reverse psychology here.

I present a scenario:

Anonymous forms from its dark and purile roots of trolling, spamming and ordering pizzas to bastards. Anonymous grows, people become aware of it. People are either freaked out, confused or enjoy the giggles. The CIA get wind of this as anonymous starts making it into the news. The CIA get worried when anonymous start growing in numbers, power etc. What's the best way to reassure people that the CIA are still in control?

By spreading disinfo or misinfo about the CIA having a hand in anonymous , which will then make people dubious and unsure about anonymous.

Could this not be a possibility too?
