It sounded like a vague general statement. "These people" meaning all OWS protestors.
Sorry if it was my mistake. We just need to remember there are stupid people in every group, and unsavory causes will attach to every movement. Happens every time, no exceptions. The majority of OWS protestors are out there for the good of America and support our country. There are always idiots like that guy with the flag that think hating ones govt or ones countries actions are synonymous with hating ones country which is retarded. Always support your country and countrymen.. your government nah.. don't have to.

To everyone here, ignore right and left wing propaganda. This is a movement for the benefit of Americans.
The left want to claim it and attach it to Obama for election support which most of the protestors are against (against Obama), the right want to paint them as socialist.

It's all b.s. they are just Americans who want to live like they are Americans again.

I did not create this story, I only brought it to peoples attention here that your Dear Kamrades down in OWS Incorporated land have forever been stained and tainted by the scum that is ACORN.

This flies in the face of all it was billed to be, paying homeless bums $10 an hour to protest, and the $10 an hour is money stolen from honest peoples donations who gave under false pretenses.

This is bad new for honest charity work everywhere, people won't trust what their donations are going to be used for anymore with criminals like ACORN secretly funneling donated money around.

Odd, sort of, how the Fox article quoted in the OP only cites anonymous sources for their story, yet those who counter their claim are named by name. Corporate media understandably would like to put this movement away. The first would be to divide this into ideological factions regardless their commitment to what the movement is about. By what I have seen in this thread it is working.

1st off I believe there are former Acorn people doing things for OWS... that's what they do but they are NOT OWS.

2nd Acorn never did anything wrong. This was proven after the fact they were defunded

3rd OWS is not a Partisan movement. It is a mostly Independant movement,

4th I can't get over the fact the FOX news lies.

5th Why would any American be afraid of this movement. It needs to happen to change Washington and Wallstreet and hopefully the Fed. Thats what most of America is behind by the way.

Stop making this into a Left vs Right thing, because it's not. Only certain channels like MSNBC and FOX want us to believe it. Some politicians have incorrectly labeled the movement. Ignore them. All Politicians are full of it.

People congregating is exactly what they dont want. They want us to squabble with eachother over bullcrap while the Fed and the banks rob us blind. Who paid for these politicians careers.. look that up as well.

My point is simple, we should have been protesting our gov and the banks back when they even brought up the bailout. We need to pay attention to who we elect if we want to prevent this kind of crap in the future because all we have left for now is protest.

It get harder everyday as more and more real patriots join this movement to fight the corrupt traitors to the 1st amendment and the American working man.

Fox has already shown how they feel about the protests, so of course they will say this. It doesn't matter if it is true, as they have been known to lie in the past. I say this is bunk, unsubstantiated fodder. Even if the paying of people to protest did occur, it was on a very small scale.

The movement, whatever it started out as, has erupted into a national thing, and no one person's agenda is going to make a difference. It will take a collective effort.

Cute, Here I will clarify for you. I forgot where I was when posting. What we suspected all along = things are not as they seem and forces other than what meet the eye are pulling at the heart of this "movement". I really should have known better but laziness got the best of me. Seems the majority got the drift of what I was saying, but there always has to be one pita out there.

It does not matter who is behind it or why, i am astonished the learned contributers here are so easily misdirected. The real issue is the raising of awareness among the masses that things just are not right. The underling agendas are irrelevant, the relevance lies in the fact that people are waking up, changes have been required and now have a chance of happening like never before.

Its times like this when dis-info, deflection and co-agitation come to the fore and become bkindingly obvious. There can only be one looser in all this, and the people are already enslaved by the system.

You missed the point....or validated his point.

The video shows that OWS is not simply a "Liberal" movement...and as evidence of that continues to appear in the form above, both the "right-wing" and "left-wing" idealogues, and the media in particular, will have a hard time pigeon holing them.
