What happened to GrandpaDave?

I loved GrandpaDave's survival posts.

He always followed T&C as far as I know.

Now he's banned?

Does anyone know why?

Are you sure he's banned? He's one of the most considerate posters I've ever read on ATS. I'm a big follower of his threads in the Survival forum. What an asset he is to ATS. I really can't even imagine him breaching the T&C to the level of being banned.

yeah hes banned, check some of his posts... cant star him anymore...

I remember seeing a post from him saying that he was "starting over" with a new account on ATS... maybe banned for previous actions? I think it was the forum abbreviations thread

things happen i guess...

Yes, I checked his profile. You are correct. That sucks....GrampaDave is one of the back bones of the survival forum.

Do you know what his new screen name is? I'm so confused. I post stuff that is way over the top sometimes, he doesn't

I read a thread of his a few hours ago about the Get Home Bag (as opposed to the BOB) and noticed he was missing his avatar...

He did post a few weeks back he was changing his user ID to GrampaDave in honor of his Grand Child. He thought it was funny he'd have to start at 0 in star count with the name change...but, it didn't bother him at all.

Wow he is one of my favorite posters on ATS, have never seen him be anything less than polite to anyone.

Is it possible he was banned to posting from multiple screen names from the same IP?

If that is the case it is ridiculousness, as he told everyone he was recreating his screen name.

I loved his posts, he was a great contributor - always respectful WTH? Everyone needs to flag this thread and maybe we will get some answers.

I haven't a clue...but, I agree, we should try to find out what happened. Do you think a MOD would answer if asked...or will that get me banned too

ETA: It's a "survival" forum for Goddess sake...guns and knifes are part of the package....

I think we're pushing the T&C now, but anything to get Grandpa back... Just think of how many members and non-members are not clicking on stuff he has to say... A sad day for ATS
