If we had that technology, we would be what Michio Kaku calls a Type 3 civilization, controlling the power of an entire galaxy ( I think that's Type 3, I don't remember exactly.) I do remember that he said we are currently a Type 0 civilization.

*Gee, since he made up the scale, you'd think he'd at least make us a Type 1 civilization.

Maybe Michio Kaku knows how to program a computer. Coders usually start counting from zero.

Updating this thread ... do you think Polhman IS titor?

IMHO, no. Just a smart guy who was board and drew up some plans.

Peace,

People should really see what CERN was up to a little while back and the fervor it produced when they began colliding particles. It was Hypothesized that miniature black holes could be created and destroy the whole earth. Physicists said that even if they did they would evaporate quickly and not cause a problem. It had something to do with the edges of a black hole bleeding energy.

What if....they did create black holes and a magnetic containment device? The black holes would then not be able to evaporate. Or possibly, that is the main reason for running this type of operation.

The many worlds theory means that everything that could possibly happen is happening/has happened/is happening right now. Therefore if one time travels, one has to travel to a different time-line universe. Any time travel would bring you to a world not quite like your own, but divergent.

Titor discussed this in his conversations. The closer the divergence the less different to the time universe you just left, the more divergent the more different from the place you left. Using that theory one could never truly return "home" but could get back "close" to where they belong but there would still be divergence and one really couldn't come "home"

When you read the patent it's kind of interesting. It's really in line with what people have said for years and more and more people are starting to accept. The world is interconnected or a whole on a fundamental level of reality and the separation we experience is some sort of an illusion.

This goes back to Plato and the Allegory of the cave, Einstein saying the distinction between past, present and future is a persistent illusion, Bohm talked about the implicate and explicate order and today you have people like Susskind saying the universe is a hologram.

This doesn't seem like time travel but time shifting. I do think once you accelerate then you will be trapped in our universe by the speed of light and entropy. The patent says:

These drive systems do not depend on the emission of matter to create thrust to take advantage of time dilation, but rather make a change in the curvature of space-time.

Basically, the method is using singularities and warp drive to shift from one space-time to the next space-time. So 2014 and 1980 are part of a whole space-time that exists as one now. We just experience it through separation and from moment to moment.

So if the space-time of 2014 and the space time 1980 both exist at the same "time." This same "time" shrinks and expands based on relativistic speeds. This is basically time dilation. So the idea when you warp space-time the space-time bubble will carry you faster than the speed of light.
