That's not real communism. Most people are told that communist governments are bad, because they can easily fall to tyranny, like Soviet Russia did. It's true to an extent, and it's also a good cover story for the real reason the united states hates communist government, money.

Twenty pages of this nonsense? Two or three joes that get paid on the 1st and 15th of each month from taxpayer monies are attempting to school people about the evils of Socialism? Seriously?? Every facet of the military is Socialized. Healthcare, Housing, you name it. The military is pure collectivisim and they have the balls to come here and complain that other citizens might want some healthcare, housing and food too? Unbelievable. Why don't you go earn a living providing something of value before you attempt to counsel the rest of us on its virtues.

What you ARE doing has been done year after year. With the result being what is in place.

What is in place is really not that bad. Throught history people all over the world have had it worse, much worse.

It is a mix of capitalism and socialism. The people at OWS want a little more socialism in the mix. Others want less. Whatever happens there will always be a mixture of the two. No need to live in fear of the red scare. It's already on you and it didn't kill you.

I didn't say it was. I just said that it has some very appealing traits that would probably help our country right now.

If you want to see a communist state that's still functioning, that's the people's republic of China. The name explains the very idea that communism is founded on. China is far from perfect, but considering what they've been through, communism is standing up very well for them. It's also brought much improvement in the quality of life for the majority. Keep an eye on China, because they're going to be the country to take us out when we look weak.

I assume you're referring to me? Service to country is not valuable to you?

I put on a uniform, body armor, a helmet, and tote around a gun making myself a target to all who wish to destroy America so that you're not the first one to take a bullet or an IED. But that has no value to you?

I don't expect you to care. Nor do I expect to be taken care of by anyone other than myself. But I think those of us who risk our lives for everyone in the country(including people like you who tell me my service has no value...You know...other than my life) probably deserve a little more than a bunch of whiny college students who have their parents paying for them while they fancy themselves 'V' from V for Vedetta.

I have not once said that communism was the right answer. I said that communist aspects are worth thinking about right now. Our economy is top heavy, and communist ideals are the only thing that will fix it.

Communism has no redeeming qualities at all. At all and I promise you that living in America is 100 percent better than living in China. You been there? I have a niece who visited there and she was appalled by the conditions. I'll take America over China any day. You do realize that the poorest of the poor in America have a safety net, an umbrella for the stormy days that happen in life, right? We have a system for those circumstances in place for our poor and sick. If my twenty-something kid came home from college one weekend and started espousing the values of Socialism and Communism to me I'd feel like I failed them. Freedom is a really amazing thing. You think they have ATS in China?
