Hey, I agree, we seem so divided and I don't believe the answer is to necessarily share and distribute equally our hard earned money. I would be offended if the government or anyone else for that matter wanted to give me a check for nothing done on my part. I can't even take thirty dollars from my own mother simply because I don't want to "owe" anyone a thing. Maybe I'm the only one who feels that way but I can't see myself taking something of which I have not earned.

It's called a "work ethic" ma'am.
You should wear that with pride.

Although, under Obama-care, they will remove it for "free".

And the private companies will pull your policy the day you get cancer!

Then they will hire lawyers to stall until you are dead

And then you'll rot

You believe that the communist party has control of the US government and you think that that is doing a good job.

So as long as they don't try burning the Constitution and the Bill of Rights you're fine with them running things. OK
When did I say that?

Really, twisting my words around that much and you might slip a disc or break a hip.

I knew it!!!

McCarthy is rolling in his grave......................................

That list says that part of the communist plan is to take over the political parties. Government is made up by the people in these parties so they must be communist.

You said you are doing a good job because the Constitution and the Bill of rights are still in effect.

So if you think that list is true and also that you have done a good job then you must be fine with communists at the helm as long as those to documents are in place.

A better and peaceful world is possible — a world where people and nature come before profits. That’s socialism. That’s our vision. We are the Communist Party USA.

We Say Enough is Enough!

End the Bush-era tax giveaways to banks, corporations and wealthy individuals.
Close corporate tax loopholes, especially billions in tax subsidies for the oil companies.
Raise new revenues by restoring 70% tax rate on incomes over $1 million.
Raise $150 billion a year by imposing a financial transaction tax on Wall Street speculation.
Cut the military budget by half. Bring troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq.
Create jobs in a major public works program to repair our nation’s infrastructure and to make our nation number one in “green industry.” Target the jobs to hard-hit inner city communities and the rural poor.
Fully fund a national health care program and drastically increase federal aid to education, Pell Grants, and other vital human needs programs.
Remove the cap on the Social Security payroll tax, so that CEOs and hedge fund managers pay the same rate as the rest of us.

Before you make stretching assumptions like that, may I provide an ATS PSA for writing distortions and half-truths?
It'll help avoid cramps when you write such things in the future.

I have my own views, and Buddhism goes a long way, but isn't precisely what I believe in. I believe that to know God, requires no label to describe how you know him. I'm not deeply offended, I was just saying, don't assume too much about someone based on their views. I will support things that do not directly affect me, because I believe in them, and for no other reason.

I do not think that OWS will actually get anywhere, but I do believe that they could cause some minor issues in the coming years for normal citizens. I would also still support them, because after the extremist groups have their day, some real groups may form, and wake America up.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

If OWS refreshes the tree of liberty, or the idea of change, then it's a win for everyone.

From what I can see of their demands, they are not leading you or me to Liberty, but to the chains of Totalitarianism. That's just how I see it.

I'm repeating what you said.

Mastahunta said that list was a list of lies you said they were the truth.

I said if they are true you should be up in arms.

You said you have been up in arms since 2003.

I said your doing it wrong if the communists are in control.

You said you were doing a good job because you still have the Constitution and the Bill of Rights (despite the fact that the commies are in control which was what you were responding to).

They won't lead us anywhere, because they aren't going to get anywhere. The best we can hope for out of the whole thing, is a reminder to the American public that you can speak against your government in a larger way than simply ranting.

That isn't really communism. It's a step towards communism, but far from actual communism. If we did that though, the united states would have to admit that communism has some very appealing aspects, and isn't an all evil monster that they make it out to be.

You're right.

I suppose I could do other things. But it'd be illegal. Or I could march in protest in front of a Starbucks* for three weeks. But I enjoy bathing and have a job.

*I'd actually march in front of a Barnes and Nobles, I like sci-fi
*On second thought, I'd march in front of those Fredricks (Naught Nighties) stores. WOOT!

If only the founding fathers would have thought like that. Instead of two countries it would be one big Canada. The NAU would have been in place by now.

What aspects are so appealing to you?

My parents escaped a communist country...Escaped! They didn't even afford them the luxury of being able to go where ever they wanted. They had to escape.

All communism does is create a prison of the proletariat.

You go right ahead and break the law.

Me?

I think I'll stick with working within the system, to enact true change instead of slogans. It might take a while though.
So microwave a hotpocket, sneer at people who work hard, and wait a while.

Sorry, but that comes straight from the horses mouth.............

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) is a Marxist political party in the United States, established in 1919. It has a long, complex history that is closely related to the histories of similar communist parties worldwide and the U.S. labor movement.

In sum the communist probably have murdered something like 110,000,000, or near two-thirds of all those killed by all governments, quasi-governments, and guerrillas from 1900 to 1987. Of course, the world total itself it shocking. It is several times the 38,000,000 battle-dead that have been killed in all this century's international and domestic wars. Yet the probable number of murders by the Soviet Union alone--one communist country-- well surpasses this cost of war. And those murders of communist China almost equal it.
Source

Second,Communism has NO appealing aspects.Unless, you can stomach the death toll.BTW,can you?

Third,Its telling how close our President is to Socialism, and Communism. His very words ring like he ghost wrote for the CPUSA. Maybe its the other way around...........................

To be serious for a moment, I am trying for true change. I've even bought a domain name, bought a host server (and mucking things up right now) but I'm creating a website to promote, endorse, people in politics with honesty and integrity. Regardless of political affiliation. It's a think-tank I'm creating for people who want to see honesty without the ideology of political influences. I'm just rather poor at building website so it's taking longer than I thought it would.

So I AM doing something.

Pity more are not.

Communism is a political way of thinking and an idea of how society should work and be organized. Communism is a kind of socialism that says that there should not be social classes or states. Communism says that the people of any and every place in the world should all own the tools, factories, and farms that are used to produce goods and food. This social process is known as common ownership. In a communist society, there is no private property.

simple.wikipedia.org...

Communism can be a great thing, in the right circumstance. Greedy people do not like the idea of a communal state though.
