So.... your retort to showing that "50% pay no taxes" gets constantly droned.... is pointing to some people who drone it?

Okey...

Allow me to LOL, or maybe even ROFL.
Again: The answer to the constant droning, is adding some of your own?
To refute that, you need to find repubs saying that "No, he is not"

Bernie Sanders of course has been quite critical of Obama, as a simple google search will tell you.

And here for your enjoyment: Chris Christie hugging Obama:

I take it chris christie is a socialist then?

And David is talking directly to the Tea Party now, he claims he is not a racist, he claims that Trotsky invented
the word to demonize ethnocentrists. Now David Duke claims he is a Tea Party member, he has been
proven that he has Tea Party ties. Many of his principles lay on Conservative principles, he has conservative friends, that's a fact.

You like how this works? It's pretty cool huh?

There is a HUGELY toxic problem with taxing wealthy individuals "the same" as the rest of us.

1. Most wealthy individuals derive their earnings from investments.

2. Investments, in most forms, are tied to the operation of businesses, in the U.S. and abroad.

3. Businesses provide jobs, in the U.S. and abroad.

4. Taxing wealthy people's investments commensurately with normal income will reduce their incentive to invest.

If the wealthy invest less of their money here, it is likely many people will lose their jobs. I fail to see how this is helpful to productive American citizens.

If you'd like to try a command economy-- that's certainly the direction we're headed-- but it's hasn't worked for the nations that have tried it in the past.

I can see your point, quite clearly.

Just wondering, though... why so little MSM coverage of it?

My take would be, just as you say, gullibility. Too much coverage could make too many protest, and not enough scratching their heads at the "crazies".

Boy, Holiday conversation is going to be tense this year.

POTUS can keep his little mitts clean by pretending he's not really so aware of the protests. Has he even made one comment about it? how come DHS said Tea Partiers were terrorist?

Unfortunately an "Investment" isn't money you get, it's money you spend (Tax deductable) You get returns on that investment, that are taxed. (Either as income or as capital gains, depending on type of investment)

So you have nothing of value to add, other than insult the OP?

Yours is a perfect example of progressive liberalism at its finest.
Thank you for being such a shining example.

We have a Progressive income tax already, meaning the more you make the higher percentage you are taxed at. It's so disingenuous for politicians to be suggesting that the wealthy are taxed lower than the poor. It's actually a very shoddy shady claim.
But what Obama knows is that the uber wealthy who make up the elite such as Buffett hide their wealth in tax shelters, so effectively it doesn't matter what rate you say you are gonna tax them.

I wonder though, why protect the rich? They certainly aren't "Job Creators" especially when you lower their corporate tax rate.

But let's protect those "poor abused rich people" because god knows if you give them everything they want they will fill up with money and trickle down upon the "lazy good for nothing poor" wealth and good paying jobs.

The rich are playing you. If you made the corporate tax rate 0, they still won't add any new jobs. If you made their income tax 0, they still won't add any new jobs. Why? Because they will be making more money and they won't have to work as hard (I.E. employ more people) to make it (for them).

These people think that if you pray to the rich, and treat them like some sort of royalty, they will shower upon the faithful rewards of riches. In reality this doesn't happen. All they do is get richer and don't have to do this thing people used to call "business" in order to "earn" a "profit".

This is class warfare people, and the rich are playing the game, they want the government to let them keep more of their money, all the while, they dangle the carrot of jobs out there, then whine for more when we give in.

"Oh we pay too much taxes (even though we just got a tax break) we can't hire more people!" or "now we have to provide health insurance for the peasants! (that we would take out of their checks anyway and make them pay for and it wouldn't cost us a dime) we can't hire more people!" or "There's too many regulations! (we can't destroy the environment with impunity) we can't hire more people!"

It's all BS and they know it and for some reason these rich a holes are getting the suckers to go along with them and protect them like they need it.

Taxing the "rich" more may help like they say.....BUT

the difference in added govt income will NOT cover the national spending and long term debts !!!!

( I beleive the GAO has confirmed that?)

The POLITICIANS are the ones who over-spend, not the "rich" or the "investors"...

The joke is still on us

This whole thing is a classic diversion !

Who, in your opinion, are the job creators?

Wouldn't that be the consumers? You know, the reason that the rich got rich in the first place? The people that bought the products and services from these companies that allowed them to grow big to start with.

They wouldn't be able to create job one if the people weren't buying their products and services, and they are now stepping on those very same people by dangling the carrot of job creation and threatening the economy if they don't get their greedy hands on more money.

The problem today is, you have these companies making fewer workers do twice as much work without adding any jobs or giving any more money to the workers. Now, they want deregulation so that they can further screw over this country and they want tax breaks so that they can keep more of the money without having to employ any more people.

Today, corporations have become the biggest recipients of "entitlements" there are. Conservatives whine about the poor receiving entitlements, while at the same time they moan and groan about how these corporations aren't getting enough entitlements.
