You seem to lack knowledge in investigations....

What happened is they gained knowledge from the May raids and did investigations to try to figure out what was going down. They stopped a few plots already but haven't gotten enough conclusive evidence to shut-down this plot. You dont have to be a brain surgeon to put 2 and 2 together (which equals 4 btw if you were curious of the answer).

People are so ignorant and generalize everything with "TPTB". What you should be doing is studying how our Government is REALLY set-up and research why things really happen the way they do. The truth is our Government has gotten too big and too powerful to control and crap happens when people are not working the most efficiently they can. I don't think it is too much to do to care enough about other people to if you see stuff actaully say something (you wont be a patriot of a country, if thats what you are worried about).

For goodness sake... I like ATS for all the information it brings but I forgot how ignorant people could be. Also I forget frequently what is ATS's motto? ? ? Deny Ignorance? ? ? hmmm......

That's exactly what I was thinking during the whole NYC panic by the govt. Closing everything down, evacuating ... would be a perfect time to hide something somewhere, mainly because people wouldn't be paying attention to "strange behavior" or people wouldn't even be around to see something happen. Closed subway stations, bridges, etc... seems logical to me.

Perfect opportunity for CIAFBIMossad to turn every ones attention to Iran by creating a real or fictitious event (I hope the latter).

Why create a panic? It's all just sensationalism - if these agencies really gave a damn about the people they would deal with the real threats, without a fanfare and then tell the people what happened, with evidence to back it all up...heck if they did that I would support them from the other side of the pond here.

I agree. Remember that we had intel on the original attacks? We never heard of that then, at least not that I recall, and we couldn't stop it anyway. If information is real and legit, what would be the purpose of broadcasting it to the world? To deter "them", to inform us so we don't freak out that vehicles are being searched, roads blocked off? Seems to me that it would be dangerous to publicly announce "credible intel" because "they" would know we know and change plans, etc., so we wouldn't be prepared then.

This all just seems weird to me. What was it, 2 weeks ago or so we were being warned about the possibility of "lone wolf attackers" and now that is the exact threat we face? Last week where I live, Denver news was "warning" us about the same scenario, talking about how we have specific targets here that "lone wolf attackers" would love to strike. Now, in the past couple of few days that is the exact threat? Seems to me that either this is not a real threat, this is a real threat by real terrorists they knew about a while ago, or this is a real threat by us, a false flag. I call BS on the whole thing.

What is their strategy for stopping a plot (if one even exists, that is)?

Is round the clock media attention a way to scare potential terrorists into abandoning their plans? At this point, what sort of terrorists would dare to enter NY or DC with a rental truck?

Here is my take on the issue, and I believe myself to be correct:

IF there is a strike tomorrow, we can have a better idea as to who carried it out by looking at a couple of things. First, the size and magnitude of it. If it is a large event that obviously required much planning and precision to carry out, then we can be relatively certain that it was not Al-Qaeda.

These terrorist groups don't have the current structure or resources in place to pull off anything of a large magnitude. I mean if they do, then why have we been in the Middle East for 10 years? Anything large is a government false flag in my opinion.

Anything smaller could very well have been carried out by terrorists, or I should say terrorists that are not members of or working for the government. Does this not make perfect sense? I think so, and I am sticking to it.

There are no fascist leaders. There are no terrorists anywhere in the world. All countries and religions love the United States. There is no reason whatsoever that any foreign government, organization, terrorist cell or anyone else would EVER do a thing against the blessed United States.

Wake up... not everything is a government plot to kill their own citizens. You talk of sheeple.. you are also sheeple for not using your head. You just spew the same anti government crap whenever ANYTHING happens. The government is apparently responsible for loss of jobs and houses, diseases, earthquakes, weather, and mass murder.
