Check this out:

It appears as if a new eye has developed and is getting its own surrounding mass of swirl, to the northeast of the the original eye.

Anyone?

Look here for animation- click animate at top right:

If I knew anything about weather phenomenons I'd make a smart scientific comment here,

but I know nothing : / and it really does look like it split in two.

it would be interesting if top part forms into cyclonic nature

Um...yeah. That is extremely bizarre! Any thoughts on the cause of this or precedence?

I think it did, I've been watching the Wundermap as well and I must say that there are, at this very moment, what appears to be two separate storm bodies. Will take a screenshot so I can post tomorrow, that's crazy!

The second one is getting bigger, fast. I dunno. You guys watching and refreshing the satellite animation? Gotta watch thing this though. If that spins off another new hurricane, the rotating force of the first might propel it in a beeline right for the coast.

No It did not! It could be wind sheer affecting the upper body of the hurricane giving the effect it is splitting in 2. Hurricanes and cyclones do not split in 2 like cells lol.

Oh and FYI I believe anticyclones or polar lows can split in 2.

Is there a map showing barometric pressures of the hurricane?

If it were to split up, we would see the the barometer pressures split too.

What we're seeing (I think) is rainfall on that map.

Could be wrong but yeah if we can see an up to date barometric pressure map, it would be helpful.

Perhaps both will interact and weaken each other.
