When a group declares that they want a complete return to 1776, they aren't omitting slavery, or the fact that at that time women and minorities were counted as 3/5ths a person. They want a complete return to that time, for good or for bad, they simply don't care.

Completely far-fetched interpretation of a return to the Founding Principles. Tea Partiers are not promoting slavery. Far from it. Tea Partiers are against general slavery thru excessive taxation and Marxist economic and social policies.

The Tea Party has been hijacked.
CJ

I think the Democrat party has been hijacked by anti-American psychos who want to wage war against their fellow Americans. From my perspective, the tea party people are just normal every day Americans who protests peacefully. Unlike the left wing protests of the Bush years that always ended in clashes with riot police and other violence.

The Democrat Party was actually hi-jacked by communistsTrotskyites, and Fabian Socialists.

Of course the Tea Party is the enemy of all socialists. The last thing the left wants is personal freedom and individual responsibility. That tenet of the Tea Party is anathema to the faith based Socialist, who refuse to accept that everywhere their dogma has been implemented it has resulted in murder and poverty. All the rhetoric pushed by the handlers of the "useful idiots" is designed to detract from this simple premise of the Tea Party. The conflict is real simple. I don't want you to use government to take away my freedom to support your dependency. Despite the rhetoric about the cold heartedness of the Tea Party, conservatives contribute more to all charities than socialists.

I think Dennis Miller stated it eloquently "I am for aiding the helpless, but I refuse to support the clueless"

No, sorry, we don't need a person who openly takes money from white supremacist groups running the country.

What we need in Washington are real Independents and not far right wing nutjobs. Real independent candidates that actually have the will of the PEOPLE and I mean ALL the people, (not just the will of a small percentage of xenophobic, racist, birthers)

Now that you've identified yourself as a shill, we have no further need to interact.

I'm not a member of the TEA Party but, it ain't just the TEA Party, sweetheart. It's any freedom loving American.

Actually I'm a freedom loving American and I'll be voting for Obama again.

Probably have to - as part of your contract.

He sure as hell beats the tar out of what the GOP/TEA Party is running with this cycle. Just my opinion of course but what the GOP is running with is actually terrifying. Could you imagine a Bachman/Palin ticket? (shivers)

Of course the Tea Party would be "terrifying" to anyone that espoused the so-called progressives "nanny state" dream.

And most see that as a good thing.

The latest GDP numbers show 1% growth. Obama has transformed the USA
economy into Europes economy.
-----------
The Tea Party needs to take over and - restore Amercia - to 5% growth.

Hmm, that's quite an assumption there, you do know what they say about people who assume don't you?

Of course the Tea Party would be "terrifying" to anyone that espoused the so-called progressives "nanny state" dream.

Yes, the Prescott Bush ideology of a fascist xenophobic state under cannon law should be terrifying to anyone who has an IQ over 80.

But anyway, let's look at the assumptions so far...

1. You claim that I am a paid poster based solely on my username. Using that logic, do you assume that everyone named Ted Bundy is a serial killer, based solely on their name? Is that the court system envisioned by the TEA Party? Guilt without due process or real evidence? I certainly hope not.

2. You claim that I am a progressive and want some "nanny state". Which is interesting as I have not stated as such, therefore you are assuming once again. Apparently anyone left of extreme right to you is a progressive. While I would identify myself as center, maybe possibly just left of center.

Just so you are aware, I believe in the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans. I don't think gun control does anything but make it harder for law abiding citizens to own firearms. (but that must be a leftist bleeding heart liberal view huh?)

I believe in capital punishment, there are some people in this world that cannot be rehabilitated no matter what you do and I don't believe in housing these people for the rest of their lives wasting taxpayer money. (again, that ghastly bleeding heart liberal viewpoint strikes again)

I believe in a woman's right to choose, sorry, but I don't think that the government should regulate morality. (despite the TEA Party advancement of Cannon Law.) What a person does with their own body in my opinion is their own business.

I believe that the "war on drugs" is a failure and the prohibition on these things should be repealed, for the exact same reason above, what a person does with their own body is their own business. (but according to you because you know me so well, I want a nanny state)

I believe that we should end all foreign wars, recall all our troops, shut down foreign bases, stop foreign aide to all countries in order to save taxpayer money. (because I'm such a tax and spend liberal you know)

I believe that all 3 branches of the US Government should have their salaries reduced by half, they should have their healthcare revoked and if they want healthcare, they should pay for it themselves. (such a liberal nanny state ideology I know)

So, there you have it, I have many more opinions, but you apparently know me so well, I am sure you already know the bleeding heart liberal progressive venom that I'll spout because my username just tells you absolutely every single thing you have to know about me.

1 - Your username.
2 - The content of your posts - basically being an obama sycophant. No person is perfect by any means. But to you, obama seems to have absolutely no faults.
3 - When you signed up - basically when obama needs people the most to counter all the negative comments that his own actions and inactions have generated. Add to that the fairly recent administration announcement that they were forming a group to go out on the blogs and do just that.

The really scary thing to many I'm sure is that you practically quote from the communist manifesto in your unwaivering support for obama. If you (and those above you) really thought this through, you'd understand that doing so would be seen as validation by many of their worst concerns about what obama truly stands for.

But thinking things like that through as I have suggested would mean that people - such as you seem to be - were being sent here with an actual strategy beyond just denying and deflecting whatever negative obama comments get posted. A thinking strategy instead of a fear response.

Oh, and anyone can write all of the other things you wrote, whether they mean them or not. Politicians do it all the time.
