Where do you come off with the Right wanting civil war? I've never seen so much race warfare in my whole lifetime as that which the Obama team has projected.

Haven't been paying attention these last few years have you?

The right has been begging for a civil war since January 20th 2009! Hell, I bet you could find more than a few threads on this site authored by "conservatives" wanting to start a second civil war in this country.

Perhaps the error is in your interpretation of things. Conservatives are at war with Marxism and Socialism. People like you simply interpret it as racism. You should know that if Hillary was POTUS in charge of ramming Universal Health Care down our throats it would still be the same thing. She even tried to get it done when Bill was in office, but it was rejected. But the liberal left just got a bunch of Socialists elected to office who would support it this term.

You know, you are absolutely right, I wonder that too. Maybe after 3 years of thinly veiled threats (and not so thinly veiled threats) coming out of the right, the left just isn't gonna take it anymore.

What not-so-thinly veiled threats, expressly?

The Tea Party has been hijacked. If you cannot see it is no longer "of the people and for the people" you are just as blind as everyone else. By actively participating in a fraud (the tea-party) you are part of the issue. Continue to fight for what you believe - just don't harbor any illusions of change. RP is a CAREER POLITICIAN. You guys and your thinking ONE PERSON ie RP can change things...start with the senate, congress and the lobbies - perhaps after that mess is cleaned up the Pres may actually be someone. Your solution is to put a career politician in place - thanks but no thanks. Think whatever you want of RP, but he is in THEIR system. If they want to give the people a bone he will win - but nothing will change. Thanks for playing. The teaparty is now bigbusiness/politics and you are being used.

When incumbents start to demonize and slander a group or those that are raising in political power, there are a few things that should be considered:

The first is why are they such a threat to those who already sit in power? Is it cause they can really challenge the incumbent that sits in that chair, or is it something valid?

Ever since the Tea Party movement was started and gained strength and movement, the Democrats and their supporters have steadily slandered and demonized, failed to use civility and ultimately sought to discredit this political movement for their own ends and agenda. Not one has asked, or stop to ask is this a valid movement, rather toeing the party line and ultimately this will be their down fall?

The country is awake, and people are looking at DC, and the people who are suppose to be running the government. Like the British monarchy and government so long ago, the federal government has foolishly and recklessly misused a precious asset where now the country is in trouble, to where people are having to wake up and say hold on and wait a minute, I did not agree to that. And every time the federal government acts, or rather reacts, people are realizing that this is not what they really wanted.

The democrats and the republicans have both been entrenched and in power for far to long, now people are beginning to realize that neither has the answer, and both have policies that are going to end up doing more harm than good. And neither wants to keep political promises that are made to get into office, hence the Tea Party has come into play. They are running and taking political power on the sole basis of cut, cap and decrease. While they are not a majority, nor do they really have the power to do much, they do have one thing that the rest of congress needs, a small minority that can sway votes one way or the other, to pass or veto bills as they come to the floor. Politics is the art of beggars making deal, and right now, the incumbents are the beggars, not holding the aces or willing to work with one another, so they have to turn to this group to try to get things passed through the house.

And the tea party in office right now, knows they hold the proverbial aces. Only time will tell if they are able to accomplish anything while they sit in office, changing the way politics are done, and the long term effects that it will have on the country. If worse thing right now that can happen is that the tax cuts will not be extended, the debt goes down and the federal government has to shrink and be brought under fiscal discipline, is that such a bad thing?

I think the Democrat party has been hijacked by anti-American psychos who want to wage war against their fellow Americans. From my perspective, the tea party people are just normal every day Americans who protests peacefully. Unlike the left wing protests of the Bush years that always ended in clashes with riot police and other violence.

Know how the TEA Party likes to hold signs saying "the cure for 1984 is 1776"? The meaning behind this is

: the (hot) revolutionary "war of independence from Britain ". Or don't they teach that in public school anymore? nice talking point...

Know how the TEA Party wanted to not raise the debt ceiling unless cuts were made to social programs only and not to anything that had to do with defense? How come no TEA Party people ever ask to cut their own congressional pay? How come Michelle Bachman doesn't come out and say that she's against the federal health insurance that she enjoys? If Government Subsidized Health insurance is socialism, then the TEA Party in congress should refuse it and make it public that they are refusing this evil socialism.

When you have people like Sarah Palin telling well, let's listen for ourselves:

Another one that's missing the reality boat is Michelle Bachman:

Happy BDay to Elvis on his death day.

And as always, if you enjoy your freedom to believe in any religion you want, then the TEA Party is your enemy. Because the TEA Party thinks that everyone should be forced to be Christian. Otherwise, you get your place of worship protested against.

Isn't that nice of the TEA Party? Goin against one of the most sacred of our freedoms, the freedom to believe whatever you want? Doesn't sound to me that the TEA Party wants anything to do with freedom.

Middle America is your enemy...

Make all the assumptions you want: Its pointless to enjoin these rant threads.

They are doing what has always worked for bad people who lie their way into power. Divide and conquer. They can't win on merit or idea's, so they make it a High School Football Game rivalry. Nobody is being fooled.

I hope they keep it up. They are loosing support rapidly and that is a good thing. The more they show their true face, the less chance they have of keeping power. Sadly though, once again there exists no good alternative as I don't see a single person running who strikes me as a true leader worthy of the White House or Congress.

We keep bickering among ourselves and people keep bringing dishonest Party Talking Points to the table, we all lose. The Left lies about the Right, the Right lies about the Left and the people smart enough to stay away from both sides are victims.

Down with Democrats!
Down with Republicans!

No, sorry, we don't need a person who openly takes money from white supremacist groups running the country.

What we need in Washington are real Independents and not far right wing nutjobs. Real independent candidates that actually have the will of the PEOPLE and I mean ALL the people, (not just the will of a small percentage of xenophobic, racist, birthers)

I find this very telling. The daily attacks, the constant accusations. We're making a difference, we're making an impact.
The Tea Party is NOT a political party. It is a mind-set.
If you are a Tea Party member (or just like what they say) then you are likely to be for personal responsibility, smaller government, less spending.

If you are against the Tea Party, then you want a larger government, more spending, and a deference to responsibility.

No GOP, no DNC, no labels, identifications, or "tags".

And that has many in an uproar. You can fight a figurehead. You can smear a single leader.

But you can't fight an ideal. An idea. A concept. A dream.

We ARE an enemy. An enemy of bloated government, wasteful spending, an enemy of a culture of dependence.

I applaud those that share the same dreams, and we'll be well met on the battlefield of ideology.

The enemy, our enemy is getting nervous.

Yes indeed they are, straight down the road to Prescott Bush's dream of a Fascist America.

The Tea Party is NOT a political party. It is a mind-set.

It's just the GOP on steroids.

If you are a Tea Party member (or just like what they say) then you are likely to be for personal responsibility, smaller government, less spending.

If that was true, why didn't Michelle Bachman or any of the other TEA Party caucus demand a pay cut, or demand that Congress give up it's own socialist government paid for health care?

If you are against the Tea Party, then you want a larger government, more spending, and a deference to responsibility.

Is that how it is now? Maybe some of us want a smaller government, less spending (on the right things) and more personal responsibility, without the insanity, xenophobia and thinly veiled racism.

No GOP, no DNC, no labels, identifications, or "tags".

Actually, the TEA Party is just a branch of the GOP, sorry.

And that has many in an uproar. You can fight a figurehead. You can smear a single leader.

Yep, the birthers know all about that.

But you can't fight an ideal. An idea. A concept. A dream.

But the TEA Party tries, oh how it tries to fight the ideal of the 1st Amendment gurantee of freedom of religion.

We ARE an enemy. An enemy of bloated government, wasteful spending, an enemy of a culture of dependence.

And an enemy of freedom, sanity, reality, and the little guy.

Actually I'm a freedom loving American and I'll be voting for Obama again.

He sure as hell beats the tar out of what the GOP/TEA Party is running with this cycle. Just my opinion of course but what the GOP is running with is actually terrifying. Could you imagine a Bachman/Palin ticket? (shivers)

A Bachmann/Palin/Me threesome might not be too bad.

But, yeah that would be pretty horrible. As to your comment earlier about Ron Paul openly accepting money from white supremacists. Do you have any links besides the below on that? I can only find the one article, which I've posted below (it's short, so I just posted the whole thing). I've bolded the reasons I don't have a problem with him accepting the money.

Paul keeps donation from white supremacist

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has received a $500 campaign donation from a white supremacist, and the Texas congressman doesn't plan to return it, an aide said Wednesday.

Don Black, of West Palm Beach, recently made the donation, according to campaign filings. He runs a Web site called Stormfront with the motto, "White Pride World Wide." The site welcomes postings to the "Stormfront White Nationalist Community."

"Dr. Paul stands for freedom, peace, prosperity and inalienable rights. If someone with small ideologies happens to contribute money to Ron, thinking he can influence Ron in any way, he's wasted his money," Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said. "Ron is going to take the money and try to spread the message of freedom."

"And that's $500 less that this guy has to do whatever it is that he does," Benton added.

Black said he supports Paul's stance on ending the war in Iraq, securing U.S. borders and his opposition to amnesty for illegal immigrants.

"We know that he's not a white nationalist. He says he isn't and we believe him, but on the issues, there's only one choice," Black said Wednesday.

"We like his stand on tight borders and opposition to a police state," Black told The Palm Beach Post earlier.

On his Web site, Black says he has been involved in "the White patriot movement for 30 years."

The Ron Paul Campaign and its Neo-Nazi Supporters

Ron Paul's Photo-Op with Stormfront

Here's the problem I have, accepting that money is an endorsement of the ideals that the special interest group that is giving you the money has.

Ron Paul by not rejecting Stormfront's donation outright shows that Ron Paul actually endorses the ideals of Stormfront and supports the White Supremacist movement.

That is certainly not the kind of person I would want running the country.

Obama was endorsed by Farrakhan and spent over 20 years in a radical racial organization.
If anyone is a racist by their connections, it is Obama, way way more than Paul who may have taken some fund money, which anyone would from whoever. I am sure Obama has gotten money by radical Marxists and racists.

A group becomes the enemy of freedom when they take hostage the entire congressional process for their own ideology. They become the enemy of freedom when the protest religions that differ from their own despite those religions being protected under our 1st Amendment just as their own is. They become the enemy of freedom when they put forth draconian laws targeting specific ethnic groups for suspicion, based solely on their ability to speak English, or the color of their skin.

And this is why, in my opinion, the TEA Party is the enemy of freedom. A small group, not representative of the majority of the people in the United States, seeking their own ends, and devil may care what happens in the aftermath.

When a group declares that they want a complete return to 1776, they aren't omitting slavery, or the fact that at that time women and minorities were counted as 3/5ths a person. They want a complete return to that time, for good or for bad, they simply don't care.

You mean like when Nancy Pelosi said Congress would have to pass the bill before reading it? You mean when Democrats engaged in dirty deals behind closed doors to get Obamacare passed? You mean when Democrats framed people who were likely to vote against it? Nancy does not represent a majority of Americans, despite the impression they make. She represents a group of Socialists trying to remake our country into a European style Socialist Utopia.
