As much as I wish it would happen, Ron Paul will never be President, because he is against those who hold the real power. When will the sheeple of America realize that they do not have a real democracy. The U.S.A. is a fascist nation in the disguise of a democracy. There hasn't been a real democratic election in a very long time. The results of all presidential elections are predetermined, you going out to vote is just an illusion to make you believe you have a choice. If Ron Paul gets the republican nod, that will mean Obama will be president for another four years.

Americans need to get very angry and forcefully take their country back. That is the only way to achieve the change everybody wants. The PTB count on the American people to be dumb and docile. The only way the American people will have the country they want, is through violent protest of the likes we have seen in Africa and the middle east. It will be bloody, the PTB will respond more harshly than any third world dictator. Revolution is the only way America will be a free nation again. Your fake elections will accomplish nothing.

OK, I hope you understand he can't win

Why do you hope I understand he can't win? Do you feel sorry for me that I can't think for myself? Are you trying to be my hero? Are you the kind of person who believes the average person lacks the intelligence to think for oneself and thus should be protected from oneself?

Really, why should your or anyone elses opinion as to the chances of a Ron Paul win/loss be elevated above others?

The same question should be asked of yourself. What gives you the privilege of questioning the validity of my opinion? Rather presumptuous isn't it?

So you like Ron Paul, good for you. Not everyone believes his ideas are what America needs. Are the pro Ron Paul members on ATS the arbitrators of which opinions will be published?

I don't like his ideas. Some that bother me are:

I believe in a strong military presence in the world with
interventions as required to support our foreign policy interests and to serve a role in breaking up squabbles. If we are the world police, so be it.

I find it ironic that a pro war person would chose a garden fairy as their avatar. Don't you?

I do care if Iran gets nuclear weapons to lord over their neighbors which currently supplies the world with oil. I sure wouldn't look forward to having defeat and break up a Persian Caliphate in that part of the world so oil could flow.

Israel has 300 nukes. Most rational people understand 300 to 1 odds don't add up to first strike capabilities. Iran doesn't want to commit suicide.

Putting protective tariffs in place is an act of desperation and defeatist, you are basically giving up on innovation, creativity and the spirit to excel.

There you go again putting words in Ron Paul's mouth. He is against tariffs. He is a free trade advocate. IMHO Israel has a statistically exceptional percentage of genius scientists. They have the highest patent application per citizen in the world. Imagine if that talent was put to work turning the deserts into gardens? It's time to start doing things differently. I love Israel. I love Iran. I like fairies.

Sure, let's start manufacturing expensive versions of the junk we can buy from China and the third world. With the current attitudes of labor in the US we may never again have products that aren't crappy.

This.

Even if Ron Paul "Wins" He won't win. The global elite run the show, the president is already pre determined. I guarantee it.

We are not being negative OP, we are being logical, many of us have watched this unfold our whole lives, that's what brings us here to ATS. People with similar views, who think the same way and believe in the same ideas. That's why most of us ATS Ron Paul supporters do not think he will win, because we know how the global elite work and he can't win.

OP i think you need to wake up, i think your still missing some very important information. I would imagine if Ron Paul would win, it would be a setup, perhaps he is yet another puppet, who will win to try to please us who are awaken, the Global Elite are masterminds of Manipulation.

He can't win, period.

Unless he hooks up with the Rockefellers, Rothschilds and Bilderberg!

I absolutely agree with everything you say! I don't believe you've gone far enough only speaking of the internet. more importantly is the belly to belly approach as that is the only way he will win... to grab people everyday and educate them about liberty and freedom and sound policy in Washington. ALL Americans want this but they have to be reminded from time to time... get their heads off American idol and their smart phones and back in the game!

I've fighting this fight since 1988 and the one thing I've learned is exactly as posted here... most Ron Paul supporters attack when they should be listening.... build division rather than trying to locate the common ground on which to build. this is what hurts Ron Paul... not his policies as much as a portion of his followers.

Become positive about the message... don't dismiss those who spew ignorant rhetoric and lies about Ron Paul... instead, listen and engage them. most are unaware of the truth behind his message and only need to be educated, not attacked or belittle for their opinion.

In the last week alone, I have turned at least 5 people into Ron Paul supporters who started out telling me his was a weirdo. Once I listened to their view... found out the want the same thing as me, i was able to open their eyes to the truth... not by shoving Ron Paul down their throat but by addressing the issues and then showing them how he has been fighting for this for decades.

Education and a positive energy! Everything you put out there comes back so stay positive! We MUST talk to people face to face to turn the corner... that is our responsibility, not Ron's!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Ron Paul is really unelectable. Unfortunately the majority of the population will vote for who they think is the "safest" candidate. They aren't looking to rock the boat, etc.

In terms that would be popular on ATS, most of the people in the US are "sheeple" kept "hypnotonised" by the US media. There's little to no chance that the mainstream media will take Paul seriously. He looks clumsy. He talks too much and his ideas are waaaay out there.

It's sad, but the deck is so stacked against him that he just won't make it. I'm sure he'll get a lot of support, but that is not the same as winning.

ATS is really a skewed demographic. It is certainly not representative of most of mainstream US.

And of course if he does get in, I give him 5 minutes after his security briefing before his ideas go out the window, same as happened with Obama.

let alone the world that wants the US to crash and burn.

i'm not an idiot, like, well it's not polite to point,

this place and it's polls are like a a a a an online game!

with no redeeming value cept for the players.

plenty of them but of no consequence for anyone else.

I was working the other day and a group of us sitting around talking and I brought up what candidates everyone liked. And interestingly enough Ron Paul was the most talked about.

I would be afraid for the safety of a president who wants to make so many changes for the better.

I'd love for Ron Paul to win, but it's never going to happen. I'd also love for Herman Cain to win, but that won't happen either. Until Ron Paul or Herman Cain are on the top of the Rasmussen polls, you can forget about it.

Great post, matter of fact it was this post that made me sign up for ATS been lurking for a very long time. Also I did not read the entire thread as I'm at work and will later. I for one think he CAN and will WIN!

Also I was thinking about making an idea thread of ways to make people know who he is(feel free to beat me to it as I need 20 posts first!)! Like last time people were everywhere with signs and banners over overpasses...... I think it's time to dust off those signs and give it another run! This time include HE WILL WIN!

Either way if people stopped saying he cannot win; continued and joined the grass roots movement that started in 2008 we could at least ruffle some feathers but in stead you give up and accept what you wrote?

Rasmussen doesn't decide our elections. Paul has a very real chance of winning. Those poll numbers aren't taking into account the establishment types dropping out and Ron Paul receiving those supporters.

Ron Paul will definitely shock people with his future success.

Ron Paul is really unelectable.

People always say this but never explain why. You may say because the media is biased against him; but the reason you are parroting that "he is unelectable" is because you seen some fox news bimbo reading it off of a teleprompter. Irony..

For those of you who are on the fence about Ron Paul, don't listen to the defeatists who think he has no chance of winning. He has already won the hearts and minds of the people, that alone has changed the establishment. The tea party against big government, the scrutiny of the federal reserve, and the move to end the foreign wars. As Juan Williams said, "This is the age of Ron Paul."

Yes, i do think we should give up. Not give up on changing things but give on on trying to get him or someone else elected, instead of using a system we know won't work, we need to find another way, a way to show people the elections are rigged, a way to make people's votes count.

If i made a game and stuck a secret combo in that only i knew that made me automatically win, even the better player would lose to me, no way around it. If you challenge them to a different game though, its a different story.

I will sell 100% of my equities if Ron Paul wins.

He was the president we needed 100 years ago, but not the president we need today.

We need mass socialism before capitalism will have a chance to work again. Without resetting the table we have no chance of turning things around. It really is that simple.
