Flashback 1983, HBO

How they make me or others look is not something I am concerned with.

I was used to them and decided to take a pic because I thought it looked good and I guess you can't see my tongue in my cheek.

I rest my case. (see what I did there? Huh?)

Jealousy is unbecoming of you...Just because I say I am not concerned with what I or others look like, does not mean that I do not think that sometimes I and others look good! This has gone on long enough. I hope you have a good life full of love and light...

Good now back to more important things.

So I live in Canada and my family was pretty poor during the eighties so I certainly didn't have HBO at the time. Am I right in assuming from the stuff you guys have posted that it was much more family oriented in it's early days?

I have a couple of very specific childhood memories that have stuck with me. Nothing special about it, but this is just one of a handful of memories, that I have always been able to see very clearly, in my mind.

Not sure of age, but definitely less than 10. I had a small green wicker rocking chair. Grandparents were visiting, and sitting at the kitchen table, playing cards against my parents. Those people were always loud, when playing cards. I can't remember if it was actually a new episode or not, but the Fraggles were comin' on. For some reason, I am thinking 8:00 P.M. Saturday night, but not positive. I just remember pulling that little chair of mine, right in front of the TV, so those loud card-players wouldn't distract me lol.

Nothing special. Just something that I seem to think about, not often, but more often than most of my other completely meaningless random childhood memories. Several months ago, I even tried to bring that feeling back. I was searching around, and found that 'Fraggle Rock' was on every weekday morning, at 8:30, on the 'ABC-Family' channel (I think). I tried a few different mornings, but I just couldn't handle it. It was awful.

I can still keep it, tucked away up there somewhere.

As far as I can remember, yes it was. You had to get Skin'emax or Showtime, if you wanted to see nipples during the wee hours of the night.

Way back in the days when there was only 1 HBO, 1 Showtime, etc. etc.
