How not raising the debt ceiling will save America..

Contrary to popular belief, the world will not end on August 2cd if America does not raise the debt ceiling. All that raising it would have accomplished is that it would've allowed spending to continue. America does not have the money to go on spending and spending. So what will happen ?

What will happen is that a lot of government union workers will not get the freebees they have been getting. Many public places and services will stop. Special interest projects will not get their handout. Government grants will stop. Hopefully, foreign aid will stop, and many of the wasteful programs, mostly created by the Democrat Party will come to and end. And all those who were sucking off the nipple of the American people will not be able to do so.

What will happen is, payment on the real debt will continue. Medicaid, Social Security, the military etc, will continue. America will live within her means and will recover to be prosperous once again.

Not raising the debt ceiling will save America. America must stop spending money it does not have. It is really that simple. A special thanks needs to be given to the Tea Party for making this reality happen.

is ia lot of smart people are looking at this situation for what it is - indecision being used as a tool (or in my opinion a weapon) you can raise the ceiling and the country will survive... you can decide to not raise the ceiling and the country will survuve...

what you can not due is let the country remain in limbo like we have watched the country do for entirely too long... this indecision is no mistake and it is not a product of parties not agreeing... we all know both parties immediately do whats in their favor so we just have to wait till a solution is favorable... and in election seasons resolutions just are favorable for them --- i hate to see my america abused like this

I think no matter what way you look at it, The economy is doomed. if they dont raise the ceiling Obama stops the S.S. checks and people will riot, if they raise it then they are just porlonging the inevitable. What needs to happen is a real fix to the economy get out of other countries and think about the USA not about their interests in other countries. No matter what happens i think this is the begining of the end for the US dollar. IMO think about it, if USA dollar crashes so will Canada's and Mexico's can u say hello N.A Union/Dollar?

Yes... I guess if you can't afford to go to college I shouldn't be forced to send you there. Oh well, there are other things you can do besides going to college for free.

All that will happen is that all the special interest free bee handouts will stop, that's all. Old people, and the sick and the military will all get their monthly checks. Don't let them scare you.

The US Government should bringing the Boys and Girls back Home
and they should open their Borders for new Taxpayers,

With 50.000.000 new Taxpayer the Debt will be paid so quick and the Country
can return to their old stupid Games of War until they grown up!

The OP is right, its better to put a stopper in this madness now, than prolong the inevitable any longer. The USA is already bankrupt, everyone with half an incline for economics knows this, printing more money and raising the debt ceiling further will only make the fall bigger in the end.

When you have a spending cap and you budget beyond that cap, er. . . . you'll have this.

People need to stop relying on government. Then they won't have to worry.

Raising the debt ceiling is just kicking the can further down the road. It makes zero sense to raise the debt ceiling when they are already talking about the next hike after this one.

When you take lines of credit with a casino, what happens when you have lost all of your winnings? You eventually get cut off or two broken legs... The house always wins! We can NOT keep borrowIng even with taking smaller bets with higher stakes... I think everyone knows where this is all going and most people agree that we should NOT spend another penny.
