I have been hearing this high pitched broadcast off and on for about a year now. I just assumed everyone could hear it until I started asking. Only a child of 12 and 1 adult could hear it. The clincher is I thought I had excellent hearing but when I took an online hearing test for high frequencies I discovered I could only hear the first two and none of the others.I then started to monitor the broadcastings. At first it was much stronger on weekends so I assumed it was due to people being home and using computers, ham radios etc. It was when I travelled through an area that receives absolutely no radio waves that I thought where is it coming from? My conclusion was either above me, below me or inside me. I have ruled out Tinnitis .The reason I am writing this is because about a month ago ,it started to get louder and louder until I thought if it gets any louder I wont be able to stand it. I got in my car, went to a casino and still the high pitched frequency persevered. It was then, I started to get scared.I have ruled out Tinnitis and I don`t believe its psychosomatic. Any ideas on what this could be?

I was going to post the same thing. This is something that's quite common. It sounds to me like that's what the OP has.

I thought I had it, but it turned out the high pitched squeal was just my wife asking me to do chores.

Could somebody at least let me know they have read this? This is my first thread.

I hear a similar thing at times, but more of a low rumble than a high pitched noise. It is constant and can get extremely loud at random moments. I sort of just thought I was picking up some sort of frequency...like walking into an empty house and knowing a TV is on somewhere even though you can't "hear" it...

Tinnitis is more of an echo effect and more of a roaring this is definitely a transmission

I honestly have no idea. When you say you started monitoring the broadcasts, were you using a walkie talkie? How was this done and what was the goal in mind? Did you think it could be coming from a car stereo?

The child and the other adult who agreed with you, were there any circumstances that were similar when they both agreed? Were you in your house, any certain house, any consistant environmental conditions when each agreed with you?

How are the quality of your speakers?

It's coming from inside you. You are energy. Listen to it, it's a great thing to focus on during mediation to help clear your mind.

This sounds like a medical problem not ailens! I would suggest an appointment with an ENT specialist at the very least and i would certaintly see your doctor, the noise you are hearing could be indicative of something serious and i would not leave it too long.

I have tinnitus and I hear it right now. When I was in the Navy I failed many hearing tests because once the pitch was equal to or higher than the ringing in my ears I could no longer hear it. The thing is, when I am in a noisy environment I can no longer hear the ringing, so the fact that you can hear no matter what is pretty interesting.

Transmission as in broadcast of voices etc, or just a noise?

If you are hearing a noise which is affecting your quality of life, have you seen a doctor?

Seeing a doctor may be more productive than posting your symptoms in an Internet forum about UFOs and Aliens.

In my research about sound and how it travels this is definitely not Kosher. They are using sound waves to communicate underground so they can communicate with the miners. It travels through solid rock and I believe its the same as is used with submarines

First I would see my Dr.
You would think the noise from a casino would null the noise if it were external .
That leaves internal..See the doctor get a real hearing test..

I have tinnitus also. My x boyfriend played guitar in a metal band, and I spent years exposed to extremely loud music. Ever since, I hear a very high pitched very shrill noise all the time. It's so bad, I HAVE to have background noise to not hear it as much. BTW he had it too

I sometimes also hear a high loud piep, but i've never thought about it just thought my ears were messing around or something like that, i don't know when it stops, haven't noticed, after a while kinda accustom to it.
I'll keep an ear on it next time

Along with "SubPrime", my money is on tinnitus. Lots of folks have it now days due to all the loud noises in life. Mine comes from noises I experienced in VietNam over 40 years ago. It does sometimes get on my nerves, but for the most part I have just learned to live with it. Been listening to loud music? If its too loud you're to old?
Thats a common cause of tinnitus.

My Daughter has something very similar.
She can even hear the high pitched thingies that people put in their gardens to keep cats out.
Some people can just hear higher and lower frequencies that most people can't pick up on.

She has had problems with her ears in the past, she's had gromits put in as a small child, etc, I wonder if that's got anything to do with it?
