That summarizes it pretty well. Those scrip drugs are not cheap for a reason, not a good reason though, it's called profiteering. And to a large
extent these non-generic drugs are just a redux of an old formula with a modified molecule or as a combination with another drug to get a new patent
and high price. A lot of it is crap for that reason. There are some garden-variety panaceas that work just fine, better even, and won't send the
seniors to the poor house.
I would hope some of this madness ends by the time I really hit senior - I am a (relatively) young retiree. but I want the good stuff if I am being
crippled with arthritis or some painful chronic disorder. We are better durg educated these days than one hundred years ago when this madness was
taking hold. Some things were seen differently then and perhaps not too wisely. Bayer had some different idea about pain relief then -

I need to upload a similar photo I have of another brand of paregoric, that one gives dosages for newborns (5 days-old) through adult. Makes the kids
sleep like babies.
Given the Global Commission Drug Policy report
www.abovetopsecret.com... we should be discussing how we are going to
implement normalizing alt. subs. when that day arrives. ATS is not the place for that discussion though.
I just started building a new web board to give that whole line of thought a good look-over. I'm hoping ATS wouldn't consider that a competitive site
and let me include that one in my signature line when I have it ready - perhaps - I have to get their permission yet. They don't mind my mentioning my
web board for expat retirees in Mexico.
