Don't knock the gas station attendant. I was a petroleum transfer engineer all through high school and it was a great job. Did the whole deal, washed the windows, checked/changed oil and transmission fluid, put air in tires, had the blue jumpsuit, very professional.

A better deal would be to outlaw disposable items to massively increase the repair industry. Lets start with razors and we can all go see some gent who gives you a shave and sharpens the straight edge razor on the leather strap.

For the first "connected" president with the Blackberry in use all day, he sounds awfully like a Luddite.

Heck, under GW, the corporations advertised IN Mexico, for illegal immigrants to come to the U.S..

Yes, there was a flood gate to be opened, and that was by ending all law enforcement against illegal immigration.

Clinton was prosecuting half a million businesses a year for hiring illegals. GW stopped all enforcement within days of taking office.

Obama has increased the fight against illegal immigration several fold over the GW admin, and been far more successful at it.

Personally, I don't understand why people choose to live in delusion.

Alright have you're rusty gate then. I just don't see what good a gate does when it was never closed ? Like I said, you just described it a different way, the B.A. might as well have dropped leafletts in Mexico.. But I don't blame those people at all. I would have done the same thing. I just figure that all of Wasington gets painted with the same brush. There's nothing delusional about that. There all the same working towards an agenda. All that trwo party talk is doodly squat. The only thing they make sure is divided is us .

the current potus with NUTS, could shut down nafta,.gafta,cafta. so as usual nothing more to say, the biatch did not leave his soul at the door before he went into the oval office

Though I am sure there is some wisdom in these suggestions, they are a wimpy approach to an issue that many on this site have demonstrated to be quite profound. We have, apparently, a whole financial, political and economic system mired down by so many lies and so much false data that it can barely function.

Technically, this is called an "out-ethics" situation. And out-ethics is caused by criminal influence. Our top priority in achieving positive and lasting reform is to push relentlessly for the exposure of these out-ethics influences. Until that happens we can figure out clever ways to cope, but the situation will never get handled.

You mean I have my very own troll ?
That is cool.

Tell you the truth I actually said a lot with those few words. Think about it.

Yes, of course something can be done.
The problem is that the socialist Obama is having a hard time grasping the concept of
capitalism. Don't take my word for it. Listen to Ken Langone - Home Depot Co- founder:
Obama does NOT like small business and free market capitalism.
Ken Langone - Cavuto - The Truth is Here

---------------------------
- Obama is a socialist masquerading as a capitalist. -
The really bad news for Obama is that his actions speak louder than his words.

Yes the building process as I sit here waiting for the comercial inspector who is an hour late and I'm his first call. Just told them to go to work screw waiting. H didn't answer his cell or office phone and I have to run to the next issue. I do have a schedule and it doesn't depend on him

I'm knocking the lame job creating mindset of Team Obama.
He said with a straight face that ATMs are reason the economy is in bad shape.
The truth is Obamas socialist agenda is holding back capitalism.

-------------------------
I see the Obama Administration as a huge battleship in downtown Washington DC.
Instead of shooting at our enemies, he has ordered the turrets to be rotated and has
begun shelling America.
As we speak rounds are landing at the Boeing plant in South Carolina.
1,000 jobs are under attack by the NLRB.

Instead of articulating solutions to the problems of the U.S. economy, Obama is
camping out at the golf course.

I'll be glad when Donald Trump shows up at the GOP Victory Party to make it official
in November 2012.

Obama you're fired!

Is this a federal guy or a local guy, as in county inspector, or city inspector? These inspectors can vary a great deal from city to city. From my experience, most of the abuse is at the county level.

It isn't an easy process. Especially when a large portion of conservatives have chosen to win at any cost.

Just look at some of the posts put up on this thread, they read like something coming out of the leaking mind of a rabid dog.

The U.S. was so completely screwed up by the GW admin, that that mess created will take numerous years to fix. Then you got these people blaming Obama for the mess created by the GW admin. They don't care about logic or reason, they lost sense of their faculties long ago.

Even Obama has given up on blaming President George W. Bush.

DNC Debbie Wasserman Schultz has stepped up and declared this is Obamas economy.

Sounds like wishful thinking on your part.

The desire to pretend that it wasn't stupid to give all the power to the bankers under the con job of the free market.

It took WW II to pull us out of this mess the last time banking elites got too much power, and yet under the con of the free market, people who think like you let them do it again.

We can turn this around.
All we need is a " can do " attitude.
------------------
You know things looked pretty bad in the early 1990s.
It turns out all we needed was - something new -.
That something new was called the World Wide Web.
Google, Yahoo, eBay and Amazon.com appeared out of nowhere.
Jobs - Jobs - Jobs
This point in history was necessary for our growth.
- America tried on a socialist suit and it did not fit. -

Raising of taxes and enforcement of regulations also had a great deal to do with it. Again, look at our most successful times, the sixties and nineties, both periods had strong regulations and high taxes on the rich. Also, don't ignore the governments role in sparking the technological innovations. Look at the big picture.

When the banking elites aren't kept in check, they will destroy anything out of greed. If GH had been re-elected, banking elites would have squelched the rise of the internet, and AOL would have strangled its development.

Free market economics put all the power into the hands of a few. Anyone paying attention should see that this is obvious. When the few control too much of the power, economic advancement grinds to a halt. The result of banking de-regulation, followed by the GW admin and the resultant destruction of our economy is proof of that.

Market economies are only efficient if they are competitive. Competition requires a governing body evenly enforcing a fair set of rules. That is the role of government. Balance, not too much, not too little.

The elites don't want this, because it takes away their wealth and their power, because competition results in a more even spreading of the wealth.

How about....GE opens a few plants here in America to make those squirrelly fluorescent light bulbs that have been mandated as the only ones we can buy and use pretty soon.....seems strange to have a law like that when you have to buy them from China to be in compliance.

I think GE would be better off making a White LED light bulb instead.
Move away from mercury altogether.
-------------------
You can buy white LED bulbs on Amazon.com right now.
They just cost too much.

you wanna create jobs then understand this:

why is it cheaper to have a product made 10,000 miles away and shipped here than to have the same product make 1 mile away from where you live?

those are bad ideas op.

the answer to that question is:governement.

so i guess your idea is to pay 300 dollars a month to american workers and no benefits, that's what chinese workers get on average...yeah that will make us competitive, but that's what business wants.
