and now we have yet another woman coming forward !

Clara Peller (August 4, 1902 – August 11, 1987), was a retired manicurist and American character actress who, at the age of 81, starred in the 1984 "Where's The Beef?" advertising campaign for the Wendy's fast food restaurant chain, created by the Dancer Fitzgerald Sample ad agency.

I just love when some of my best threads (people responding to a hot topic etc) always brings out the haters.

OP should be arrested, should be charged... committing crimes against humanity. too much...

I've been called a bigot, racist, homophobe, pedophile, sexist and worst of all-a Conservative.

But yet the threads stay on-after all the organized attempts to "alert" the mods (admittedly by someone). Just too much. Instead of dealing with the actual story/account.

Masked Debater.... you don't need a special license or permission to post your own thread. Instead of making comments that there weren't any about Arnie... Make a Thead. You have only YOU to blame-not any of us here.

I'm kinda curious what kind of thread you would run-if you didn't see one in the Arnie story? Kinda

Further proof that you just cannot trust most politicians.

What I found disturbing is how easily Weiner lied about it (check out his interview with Wolf Blitzer before he admitted to lying about it).

I think this is largely a non-story except for the fact that he continually lied about it. The next time you see a politician on TV talking "passionately" about something, just remember, they lie and they do it very well.

No Not everybody is doing it". you only need to look toward military folks who are granted ts/sci clearances and submit to thorough background investigations. "Adultery" is a reason for denial of clearances("blackmail material" as mentioned else where further up the thread). Nothing biblical about it.. we have every right to expect scrupulous conduct from our elected class.

Is that a fact?

Then why we got a pedophile, homosexual running for Mayor of Palm Beach?

because evidently we've got plenty of folks who say "Eh;none of my business who he's screwin'.... I disagree.Idon't see why the on your ballot.instead of sitting facing backwards tied on a

You can go here to tell Weiner what you think of his actions:

You will probably just get an automated response like I did. What is it with these politicians? Is their ego just so big that they think the deserve to indulge in inappropriate behavior? Or is there more to it than that?
Did you catch Weiner's comment that to the best of his knowledge none of the women he chatted with and sent pictures to were underage?

"They are all adults, at least to a the best of my knowledge, they were all adults and they were engaging in these conversations consensually," Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) said at his press conference this afternoon.

LINK-To the Best of My Knowledge

I think this is a preemptive move on his part to begin laying down his defense for when it is revealed that one of the women was indeed a minor.

How could he know the age of these anonymous women he chatted with, especially when he claims never to have met with them? I think that this story is still unfolding and will eventually result in his resignation.

sarcasm>It's a good thing we are focusing on things that matter.

So the man posted some pictures of his junk on the internet. I think if we are going to have a fit over something as minor as this, proportionally to their ill deeds half of the government should be burning at the stake right now.

Oh, just for the record, I find the guy to be a total jerk and I am not sad by this at all. Good riddance, even if it is for such a stupid reason.

First off I have already stated that I find Rep. Weiner's actions unbecoming of an elected official. Not that he was Flirting On-line (Flirtation = attention without intention) but that he lied about it. Because of that I think he should step down even though I like the man.

But just a friendly reminder. Recently Arnold Schwarzenegger announced he had fathered a child with another woman while he was married and kept it a secret FOR TEN YEARS! I don't recall seeing all the juvenile partisan remarks about Schwarzenegger's political stripes on ATS by liberals like myself.

The OP is as guilty as anybody. Hey Mr. Pot, I'd like you to meet my friend Mr. Kettle.

edit on 6-6-2011 by MaskedDebater because: (no reason given)

Possibly because Arnold's political career is over. The taxpayers aren't paying him any more.

But pay very close attention here, because this is an important distinction:

You also never heard ANYONE making excuses for or defending Swartzeneggar like all the weiner-lovers you find on this thread.

Since this is a CT website, I'll play along for a moment.

Have you already forgotten that the way Weiner made a big name for himself was as the outspoken proponent of obamacare when it was being voted on?

IF - and I said IF - there is any payback going on in this scandal, I would guess that would be the reason.

More excerpts from the Las Vegas woman's "exchanges" with the Weiner:

s ource

Speaking exclusively to, Weiss said she shared 220 messages with Rep. Weiner beginning on August 13, last year — and they were often exchanged during work hours.

In an explicit exchange on March 3 -- the same day he voted on a health care bill in the U.S. House of Representatives -- Weiner bemoaned that he had to end their conversation because he was “off to class.”

The casino worker, who said she once worked as a Democratic campaign worker, also claimed she had steamy phone sex with Rep. Weiner -- using a Government telephone.

Said Weiss: "After a while I said to Anthony, 'Why are writing these messages when we can just speak?'

"I gave him my number and he called me from his office and we proceeded to talk dirty for at least 30 minutes.
"A few days later, I tried to call him back on that number.

"But the number wouldn't connect to his office; instead there was a recorded message that it was an outgoing U.S. Congress line only."

Weiss gave her number to him via Facebook and when Rep. Weiner realized he had missed her call, he sent her a message.

He wrote, “How did I miss this chance to rock your world by phone? Give me another chance! Stalk me baby. Very hot.”

Arnold was never a real Republican anyway. He was always a Rino and his disastrous term as Governator aliened him form both sides of the political aisle. No one wanted to claim his as their own, so that's why he had no defenders.
Arnold is good at a lot of things, but politics and fidelity are not his forte.

Don't be a fool and/or attempt to patronize me.

I am hardly a fool and if you feel patronized, consider why you feel the way you feel and leave me out of it.

I specifically stated that Weiner was "exposed" before it got as far as Edwards did. What do you suppose would have happened if the two of them had met - assuming they didn't?

They might have talked, danced, had crazy sex. Maybe if they had actually ever met. You make quite the leap and you are making it again. To jump from sending pictures to hiding a love child skips a LOT OF STEPS IN BETWEEN. Important steps too. You would be amazed at how helpful meeting in person is for a couple to produce a child. Apparently you will be equally amazed when you learn that you really cannot get pregnant from pictures sent to your twitter account.

How do you make that jump? Is that like jumping from Mark Foley actively talking about sex with 16 year old boys to Foley just might have raped a school full of kids if he had not been caught? Is that how your mind is working?

You like the child molestor screamers are all looking to hang Anthony for what you hope that he might have done, could have done, or would have done. I am only concerned with what he did do. Look at how well Aney hid his Republican love child for an entire decade while the rest of you were looking thoough democrats emails and twitter accounts.

Know how Arny got that woman pregnant, by the way? It was not over twitter, facebook, or the phone. He had sex with her. That is like apparently a totally super important part of two people making a baby together. I know you will get this eventually.

Then there's this new revelation about Weiner carrying on his "innocent" - to some of you - "sexting" using his office phone. I think that means our tax dollaars paid for his internet trysts. Everyone still OK with that?

No, I am not ok with my tax dollars going to support any of his personal and private activities. I have no problem having a problem with that. Unlike you, who wants to say had he not been stopped, he would have gone on and impregnated these women I can settle with reality. I can get upset of real things like misused tax dollars. I cannot get upset about the idea that he might have gotten a woman pregnant online.

I am not sure what World of Warcraft is like these days but it must be pretty realistic to have this kind of effect on people.

Latest revelations

What’s more, the blonde woman has revealed details that show the liberal congressman lied during his tear-jerking confession Monday at a press conference in New York and that he DID use government resources for his extra-marital activities.

This relationship lasted 9 months - hmmm.
edit on 6/6/2011 by centurion1211 because: (no reason given)

Cool. Get those timestamps, punish him for what every moment he was on that phone with her.

Not going to get me to fire up the torches, call him a child molestor, sexual predator, rapist, or potential illegitimate father. I can however call him on misues of government resources and I really do not care what they were used for. Did he use the phones for something he should not have, yes or no and lets move along. I have a feeling some of you need to know if he orgasmed on that phone.

He can use his phone to talk dirty or spend all day talking to his grandmother and I would find either, equally appauling. If he misused the resources, then fine. I do not care what any of the details about it are.

Every politician right and left have been caught in some kind of compromising embarrassing position.

That is why. He is a good politician with 20 years of fighting for our rights and against the corporate takeover of NY. He was never elected to be husband or celibate.

As long as my dentist drills the right holes in the office, he can drill anything he wants when he goes home.
As long as my politician is repesenting the little guy that elected him, he can do whatever he wants with his little guy at home.

Anthony could have spent the 90s in Washington state having intimate time with horses as long as he did his job when it was job time. I would not care less.

The “Kids Act’ implemented one of my six recommendations to keep a closer eye on sex offenders both near school grounds and online. I also proposed stricter GPS tracking of sex offenders, tougher enforcement of registration laws and more public disclosure of sex offender data.
Sadly, the Internet is the predator's venue of choice today. We need to update our strategies and our laws to stop these offenders who are a mere click away from our children.

I realize this isn't about children,

But still?

This was already pointed out once and I already asked once how it even related and no one responded.

You need to clear up your question a little before I go answering anything here. Are you asking if it is possible that I am both from NY and CA? Or are you suggesting I am from CA and should adopt Weiner over in CA?

I have no idea what you are really asking me here other than "where you from?" You must be looking for AOL chat or something.

Of course not, because he got away with it. Now that he is out of office, no one is going to ask him to step down. So why should they get upset that he lied for 10 years, destroyed a child's life, and probably did some of that lying while in office. Pretty tough to be a governor, have a son no one, including the kid and his fake dad know about and not be lying about it.

But that does not matter. He was a Republican. He got away with it while he was in office. And his name is not as funny to little boys.

It sounds FANTASTIC in your world.
