I wonder if this might be Comet Elenin being sucked into the sun's gravitational pull. Does anyone know the current trajectory of Comet Elenin? I think that would be a ruling factor in identifying the object that will hit the sun.

No but you can figure it out if you measure the distance on these three nasa images and comparing to the time
I'm way to tired to do that right now sorry.

stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov...
stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov...
stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov...

The first is 21:24, next is 21:39 and last is 21:54
If you put them up tab by tab and browse through it gives you a good idea

There is no particular reason to think it will hit the Sun. If it gets close enough it will evaporate and break up. Or it could just as easily continue on its orbit around the Sun and back out into the Solar System.

Each frame seems to be about 15mins apart. In the time that it moved in an hours time, I would say the next hour, or hour and a half??

But that is an uneducated guess

as the above poster said...

there is more than one object in those imagines, I have no idea what they are but they are big...
Let's hope we can find out more.
