CA Senate bill mandates gay history in schools

My son's social studies book pays homage to so many different ethnic and cultural groups, there's hardly any space for actual history lessons. He gets a basic overview of each historical event. If Illinois decides to add gay history to the mix, I'm looking into private school regardless of cost. Where we live, in a small town, it seems like everytime I turn around someone different is coming out. Are there really that many gay people out there, or is it just "in vogue" right now? Seriously, you have multiple girlfriends(boyfriends), get married, have children, then out of the blue decide you are attracted to the opposite sex? I wonder if the gays who were gay when gay wasn't cool get offended by all this?

I don't believe anyone is pretending to be gay becuase it is somehow "Cool"...I would say that evidenced by the recent rash of bullying and teen suicides we have seen...just the opposite.

Maybe you should pretend to "come out" in your town since it is so trendy and see how that works out for you?

Or here is a better idea...have a little empathy and respect for those courageous folks who do come out and are honest about who they are even if you personally don't understand them.

Then shouldn't we dispense with Monogomy....men should spread their seed as much as possible amongst multiple partners, willing and unwilling in order to diversify and propigate the species?

Bottom line....I don't think the world population growth is dampened any at the hands of the Homosexual community. Nor does the population suffer from birth control measures, abstinance, monogomy, the institution of marriage etc.

This comes as no surprise. With the left wing interventionists hard at work, the study of gay activities are far more important than math, reading and science! And the citizenry wonders why we have the highest failing rate in the world?

I guess people are in need to taught to be meekful to others. I believe in respect. But there are many things only parents or when young individuals should teach one another when they get older.

Would appear your looking for a straw man argument? really? Your more concerned about time stamps and when the article was posted to yahoo? Do you not have the ability to conjure up a constructive thought to add?

Articles pop up in my newsreader and I read accordingly. If you have a problem with the article, take it up with the AP. Hell, I just checked again, and the time stamp showed 1 hour, 45 minutes ago, exactly the time I posted it.

Whats more important in school, math/science/exercise, or learning about gay history?

Personally I have absolutely no problem with gays, and even support the idea of them getting married. That being said, teaching gay history because a gay state senator thinks it's a good idea is pure idiocy.

I have already mentioned Sodom and Gomorrah.
2 cities were destroyed for homosexuality
being the norm. It's in the Bible, do some
productive reading. Also, Rome and Greece
are prime examples. Both empires made gay
being a social norm right before their demise.
