My son's social studies book pays homage to so many different ethnic and cultural groups, there's hardly any space for actual history lessons. He gets a basic overview of each historical event. If Illinois decides to add gay history to the mix, I'm looking into private school regardless of cost. Where we live, in a small town, it seems like everytime I turn around someone different is coming out. Are there really that many gay people out there, or is it just "in vogue" right now? Seriously, you have multiple girlfriends(boyfriends), get married, have children, then out of the blue decide you are attracted to the opposite sex? I wonder if the gays who were gay when gay wasn't cool get offended by all this?

Gayism, a word I invented, is a selfish disease...The only people that get any pleasure out of it are the two that do it...It has no redeeming properties to it. In the long run it can only destroy first, a town, then a state, then a nation and eventually , the World....

I'm interested to see the data and evidence indicating that homosexuality (oops, I mean "gayism") can destroy anything, let alone a town or the world.

What does effect my life is when the progressive agenda driven school districts attempt to indoctrinate my child with their lies and filth.

How do you know that the subject of gay history in California is going to contain any "lies and filth", and that this is a form of indoctrination?

being gay renders a society no children
thus the population dies as a species.
That would be destroying the world
would it not?

I don't think anyone can argue the fact that pushing the gay agenda in everyones face, creates more gay people.

I think I could argue that. Because I don't care how much "gay agenda" (whatever that is) gets pushed on me.... I will not magically become gay. Nor do I know any heterosexual who could be persuaded to become homosexual by any amount of suggestive social agenda.

The link you provided from the time stamp on the yahoo article was posted only a few (8?) minutes before you ,according to your time stamp, posted it here. It's almost like you were waiting for this link to appear so you could race it to ATS. Not like you would have your own agenda or anything.

I figure that it took a good, what, 5 minutes to write up your post and post it? That leaves only 3 minutes to read the whole article and then give it weighty consideration after which you decided that you needed to rush this to our attention?

Or am I missing something here?

That would require every person becoming homosexual, and excluding the technique of artificial insemination. Even if everybody suddenly became gay we could still reproduce without the use of heterosexual sex.

This OP is like a dog whistle for ignorance...

Too much to respond to but I will try the most recent post

That is what history class is for.

I don't believe anyone is pretending to be gay becuase it is somehow "Cool"...I would say that evidenced by the recent rash of bullying and teen suicides we have seen...just the opposite.

Maybe you should pretend to "come out" in your town since it is so trendy and see how that works out for you?

Or here is a better idea...have a little empathy and respect for those courageous folks who do come out and are honest about who they are even if you personally don't understand them.

Artificial insemination is man playing God.
This is not the way God intended it to be.
Man is subverting creation on all levels
else we would not have a place called
the LHC creating the God Particle.

Do you mean if the world entire was gay?

Well let's just keep painting with that enormous brush...

If Gay = The end of Mankind = Bad

Straight = Offspring = Good

Then shouldn't we dispense with Monogomy....men should spread their seed as much as possible amongst multiple partners, willing and unwilling in order to diversify and propigate the species?

Bottom line....I don't think the world population growth is dampened any at the hands of the Homosexual community. Nor does the population suffer from birth control measures, abstinance, monogomy, the institution of marriage etc.

If god made homosexuals then it seems he wanted it to be that way.
Also, "the god particle" has nothing to do with deities.

Anyway, do you have any data on your alleged destructive powers of homosexuality? If there is any I'd like to see it.

This comes as no surprise. With the left wing interventionists hard at work, the study of gay activities are far more important than math, reading and science! And the citizenry wonders why we have the highest failing rate in the world?

Gotta love that liberal agenda~

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Boon, you know that argument isn't a good one right?

I'm gay and have 4 children. Just because someone is gay does NOT mean that you cannot have children, all the parts still work and there are plenty of alternatives to just regular child birth such as adoption etc.

On topic I will agree it's totally ridiculous to teach kids about "gay history", you should just teach them about equility and rights of people (humans rights etc.). There's no need for a curriculum on this, it's wasted tax payer money and will only serve to confuse children about the problem of human rights in the US and abroad.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

I guess people are in need to taught to be meekful to others. I believe in respect. But there are many things only parents or when young individuals should teach one another when they get older.

Would appear your looking for a straw man argument? really? Your more concerned about time stamps and when the article was posted to yahoo? Do you not have the ability to conjure up a constructive thought to add?

How bout sticking to the article in question, and stay on topic perhaps?

Articles pop up in my newsreader and I read accordingly. If you have a problem with the article, take it up with the AP. Hell, I just checked again, and the time stamp showed 1 hour, 45 minutes ago, exactly the time I posted it.

The timestamp is really the only thing you wish to talk about?

Whats more important in school, math/science/exercise, or learning about gay history?

Personally I have absolutely no problem with gays, and even support the idea of them getting married. That being said, teaching gay history because a gay state senator thinks it's a good idea is pure idiocy.

whoa, hold up right there,
God did NOT make homosexuals.
Satan corrupted men into becoming
homosexual. God created man.
Satan corrupted him.

yes it absolutely does. It takes the ability
of creation and puts it into man's hands.
once in man's hands, it can be subverted
by Satan.

I have already mentioned Sodom and Gomorrah.
2 cities were destroyed for homosexuality
being the norm. It's in the Bible, do some
productive reading. Also, Rome and Greece
are prime examples. Both empires made gay
being a social norm right before their demise.
Dude, u need to read some history.

God created man.
.

On a side note, do you have any factual proof of that?

The bible doesnt count as fact either, as that is 100% fiction.
