The solar X-Rays were hovering near the C1 level early on Sunday. Sunspot 1184 which is located towards the east of 1183 appears to be growing again. There will continue to be the chance for atleast C-Class flares.
The solar wind stream which was elevated over 600 km/s did stir up minor geomagnetic activity at high latitudes over the past few days.
In the latest STEREO COR Behind and Ahead images, a big explosion and CME is seen. This may have been attributed to the long duration C-Class flare from early on Sunday. It appears to be a farside event thus far.
We expect quiet space weather conditions to prevail for the next 48 hours.
An eruption occurred in the vicinity of NOAA AR 1178 and plage 1176 early on April 3rd, with typical post-flare loop arcades. A CME was observed by the COR2 coronagraph onboard Stereo A spacecraft. Due the location of this event close the limb, we expect little, if any, geomagnetic effects.
