Ive seen this on several pics and videos. We all know what it means in the US, but that doesnt mean it has the same meaning in Libya. Does anyone have a clue as to what it means? Just curious

I thought it was V for victory, but Ive been fooled before! LOL! I had no idea what to make of it as some of the pics with the V sign didnt look too victorious to me.

Can't answer you sorry, but it seems that "suspected gaddafi supporter" is the new term implying
subhuman enemy, terrorist, CIAl-qaeda member.

This is ironic seeing as the supposed reason that Libya was invaded was to protect the citizens against gaddafi and his military. "suspected gaddafi supporters" are citizens too.

I'm sure that the war propaganda isn't limited to outside countries only.

It probably means "Victory", though Americans usually associate it with "Peace", and when the palm is facing the one doing the gesturing it can be an insult. (According to that wiki link).
