Is that Anchorage, Alaska? It has to be. Wow. Things are getting serious and quick. Hope all is well for everyone and hopefully things don't get any worst. Can someone tell me this, is it possible for this reactor's to effect the whole world?

Alaska and how much other space around it is involved. Is their increased
radiation in all of these areas (most of which I am unfamiliar with). I can see
Russia and China airspace as they are closer but Alaska - tell me it isn't so.

Will this be extended to include Canada, and the US west coast. I don't think
I will make any travel plans right now - a lot of airspace has to be tested to
know where it is safe and where it isn't.

Its getting worse by the minute - I take a break from the computer for
15 minutes and another problem or disaster has occured.

According to that release, the start of the event was 3:00 UTC today.... hmmmm....

Is that a inconspicuous way of saying that full meltdown has began and there is no hope for containment and that they officially stamped at as 3:00 UTC?

Wow.... I'm glad I got some KI coming in the mail, this is getting a lot worse than I thought.

Those poor people that could have been buried but still alive in that area are now dying a horrific death...

It pains me to no end to even think about it.

i think the key word is "possible", I mean do we KNOW for sure the air has been tested yet? Could this be caution first and certainty later kind of thing?

I can't be sure but the message appears to be more cautionary in nature than a full-blown alert.

I guess only time will tell.

You dont have to test the air.. Satalite imagery technology exist where they can track the "plumes" of radiation as it travels over the Pacific.....

Thats why I started the thread "Will you hold your Gov accountable if they lie or dont tell you about the radiation?"

They know if its coming........if they dont tell us.....then its criminal........

I don't think they would have issued this unless they really thought there was a good reason to.

It covers a general area - you'll note it covers west as well as east of the site, including over NK and SK, China, Russia and Alaska.

I suggest the areas listed are precautionary, the bulletin is not.

thats what i meant, I mean the areas listed would be a precautionary measure based on how the wind patterns MIGHT be carrying the radiation or might have carried it or may still carry it in the near future.

Found another source..

The London arm of the Volcanic Ash Advisory Center, or VAAC, issued a formal "emergency" warning to flight crew, and highlighted the 30-kilometer exclusion zone around the stricken plant.

The open-ended warning cited airspace in Japan as well as parts of Russia, China, South Korea and Alaska.

I have confirmed this information through another official (aviation) channel - it is legitimate.

The Captain has put on the seat belt signs, and we ask you return to your seats at this time as this will be a bumpy ride...

VAAC is the same agency in the UK that issued flight regulations and airspace closures when Eyjafjallajokull blew its top.
