...well, ok, I was wondering what the hoax was, never saw anything pointing to it. Sorry if I added to the confusion, but I wonder about it (hoax), any info as to why it is looked at as a hoax? We all already know that America isn't going to provide any thing like it to us till it would be too late... Things have changed rapidly all over the world, some still care, who have valuable information tools at their fingertips... BTW, I edited so it wasn't a thumb nail anymore...

The Navy Said it. Wiki defined it: A radio active plume has been released which is potent enough to induce radiation poisoning which is defined as being exposed to at least 100rems.... which is 277 years worth of normal background radiation within just a few hours! Please someone who knows radiation please check my maths.

Wiki says Radiation Poisoning occurs beginning at 100 rems which is the equivalent of (1Sv).
Normal Radiation exposure is 360millirems per year... now the sailors have been exposed to 100 rems at least so... 100 / 0.36 = 277.7777 years worth of normal radiation within a few hours. seems right.... unfortunately.

The source of this airborne radioactivity is a radioactive plume released from the Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant.
For perspective, the maximum potential radiation dose received by any ship's force personnel aboard the ship when it passed through the area was less than the radiation exposure received from about one month of exposure to natural background radiation from sources such as rocks, soil, and the sun.
The ship was operating at sea about 100 miles northeast of the power plant at the time.
Using sensitive instruments, precautionary measurements of three helicopter aircrews returning to USS Ronald Reagan after conducting disaster relief missions near Sendai identified low levels of radioactivity on 17 air crew members. The low level radioactivity was easily removed from affected personnel by washing with soap and water. They were subsequently surveyed, and no further contamination was detected.
As a precautionary measure, USS Ronald Reagan and other U.S. 7th Fleet ships conducting disaster response operations in the area have moved out of the downwind direction from the site to assess the situation and determine what appropriate mitigating actions are necessary.

Recently I went back in the military here on Ft. Lewis and im also a contractor and havent heard anything about the cloud coming to the us. However.... if you realy are worried and need more proof here are some things to look at over the next few days..

i really dont see much to worry about. If the gov posts sompthing or tells us ill keep you all informed. However if your that woried.... take your pills dont go to sleep and keep wastin the money and hard drive space of ATS.

It might help to delay the effects of radiation poisioning. But soap and water is by no means a cure for radiation poisoning.

Unless your government has invented a new soap that can instantly remove radiation then your wrong.
Can you link me to a source that says simple soap and water and a simple belief in your government can wash away all traces of radiation fallout?


Ps . Can you get the gov to hand out their Special soap to all the people about to be affected by this radiation,
then we wont have to lose lives, no future births will be deformed, people wont get cancer from` this and the world be instantly cured with a quick spray with your magic soap.
