Do these guys even know what a Pole 'reversal' is? It’s important to distinguish a geomagnetic reversal from the idea of a polar shift, as the two are often confused. In a polar shift, the axis of the earth actually moves dramatically and/or the rotation of the earth reverses. A polar shift would be truly catastrophic, but happens exceedingly rarely, most likely as the result of a major collision of a planet with another planet-sized object.

No object that far away can ever influence a pole shift/reversal here on Earth! And there's no chance of any object of that size impacting the Earth in the near future to result in a pole reversal.

These end-of-world scenarios are getting pretty tiring! Hmph...

I think too many people here look at "science as magic." They don't really understand how things work -- and so, ANYTHING unexpected hurtling through space is a potential "end of life as we know it."

Eventually, all this speculation will be right about SOMETHING -- just not most things.

Now, if there is a planet passing by us by a few million miles -- I'll entertain some concepts of Pole reversal. But still, someone has to understand how the field is made, and WHY if flips over the millennia in the first place. Anyway, I'll move on to another topic -- this one is like another video of a glowing disk.

its about 1.5 miles in diameter and on the 20.2.2011 is at 0.174 au

so i predict the world will end on 20.2.2011 which could easily have been mis translated to 20.12.2012

Which could very well be more than 300,000,000 miles away?

That's just hard to believe...

Either way, if it's that close why haven't we been able to get great pictures of it yet?

The moon being about 384 403 km/238 857 miles distance from Earth, 2005 YU55 will whiz between the Earth and the Moon at a distance of 315 000 km/201 714 miles. Now, check this out. Do these figures indicate that 2005 YU55 will pass by the Moon at about 69 403 km/371 miles distance on 8/11/2011? That's only 12 780 605 488 inches. Seems close to me. Just saying...

Nice commentary. I have looked all day for the size of Elenin. Seems like someone could figure it size by the photos taken compared with it location away and it's speed of travel. If it were smaller than a football field, would it show up so brightly in photos from Dec. 2010 at that far distance? And if it was small, wouldn't they just tell us it's size?

I saw on the news today that President Obama and family will be visiting Brazil, Chile and El Salvador March 19-23.

I think that the thinking is that on or around March 11th, Comet Elenin is in alignment with the sun and earth, and this alignment could cause some sort of magnetic or electric earth change.

Don't know why a few think this, but the universe is still a foreign world, that we know little about really. It is interesting that asteroid scheila may have had an effect on Saturn when they aligned, and also interesting that it looked like the asteroid grew a tail (like a comet) after this alignment.

The activity of Scheila started roughly at the same time as the storm on Saturn. Can it be because of an alignment Saturn-Elenin-a few belt asteroids-Scheila?

Im not a scientist, but year ago they said earth tilted in its axis, this winter the sun came 1 day early here in Finland, an 2 days early in greenland meaning that earth really has tilted or it is badly wobbling? This is HUGE! What have caused this? ...Elenin?

While debunking a pole shift of 3/15, he seemed to be using quite a bit of NLP language. I like how he debunks the pole shift idea, but then gets caught un in ELEnin name and the dates 11/1/11 and 11/11/11.

And the tying in of earth alignments with Jupiter causing large earthquakes, but I didn't hear the mention of a few large quakesin his large list so, the alignments must only be "helpful" to large quakes, not mandatory.

Interesting none the less.

All I know, is, the US Gov.t has been purchasing zillions of MREs and hoarding them underground. Recently. For what? Just in case? In this economy of austerity belt tightening, they decide to go on a shopping spree, for very odd survival gear, just in case? Does that truly make sense? Cuz not to me.
I know from when I watch A&E Channel about hoarders, extreme hoarders, and intervention, I have learned that perhaps FEMA the people of it all in unison, have become neurotically obsessive-compulsive (OCD) and need an intervention (on A&E) about their extreme shopping and hoarding compulsions.
